Claudy Futsal We are a Futsal club, providing training and opportunities for Children and young people in Claudy and the surrounding areas.

Futsal is the FIFA-recognised form of small-sided 5 a side indoor football.

We are super proud of our Futsal youth players Ollie and Charlie. They made the journey to Belfast yesterday to train with Sparta Futsal club U17 squad.

Both lads gave a positive account of themselves and were appreciative of the opportunity to be involved.

They have been invited to progress with the club which is a great achievement for them and a testament of their commitment to the sport.

Many thanks to Sparta and the squad for the invite.

We're delighted to announce that our youth players Ollie and Charlie H have been invited to train with Sparta Belfast Futsal Club U17 squad tomorrow in Belfast.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both lads to progress with their Futsal journey and we wish them well in this endeavour. They have committed alot of time and effort into the sport and its great that they have this option to improve further.

We are proud to help support players with their development be it in the progression of Futsal or with their football journey.

Many thanks to Sparta for reaching out and giving the lads this opportunity.

Futsal creates fast thinking, skillful and technical players who are confident and comfortable playing under pressure.

Our players regularly work on different techniques and skills to beat players in 1v1 situations, which happen frequently in the game.

Well done to all the kids in tonight's friday night Futsal in Craigbane. We only had a 1 hour slot tonight but we still managed to cover a few aspects.

We had goalkeeper training for Charlie and Jayden and they were excellent once again with techniques and saves.

Our out court players covered skills to beat players in 1v1, such as shuffles, sole rolls past players and roulettes.

They progressed into some passing and movement stations with overloads and they were positive with quick play and skills such as scoop passing.

We covered some versus games built up and these were excellent also.

We did combo play through centre court and the kids all took to these well.

Well done to Georgie on her goals this evening, our girls are showing great progress with Futsal, especially when Georgie plays as a goalkeeper in football.

We finished with an end game and the speed and intensity was top notch with all the techniques brought into play.

Great to have a few players back at sessions also and quite a few new players who have joined this week.

We had an amazing first night at the Sion Swifts Futsal programme. Great turnout of kids.

We covered use of the sole to receive the ball, scoop passing, shuffles, and the toe poke.

We played versus games with overloads on 2 courts setup, these were really positive.

We finished with end games on both courts, the kids were all fantastic with engagement, they all demonstrated great confidence on the ball, using skills and the techniques they had learnt.

Thanks to our Ollie and Charlie for their help in delivering the session.

We look foward to the rest of the programme.
