Yesterday all the 3-5's rooms and children enjoyed some fun forest school sessions. We worked in teams to look for bugs and made nests to put into the trees.

Our school leavers graduation will be held on Thursday 13th July 12-130. All parents, careers and family members are welcome to attend. If your child is not in on the day you are more than welcome to come along, your child will remain your responsibility during the time. There will be lots of fun activities and photo opportunities, with a picnic lunch.

Would you like some support or advice about how to help to prepare your child for school this September? Then why not pop along to this group to talk about a different theme each week while your child plays with fun activities? No need to book.

Just a moment...

Essex Libraries have launched a School Readiness campaign for children who will be starting school in September.

Most libraries will be running a Big School Meet Up during the May Half Term. These are a chance for families to meet other children who will also be starting school and take part in a activities, including a storytime. There will also be hints and tips for parents to help their child be ready to start school. Find your local Big School Meet Up on the library website:

We are also lunching a Ready, Steady, Go to School challenge. Families can sign up now at any library to take part. There are 7 fun challenges to complete by 31 July. Children get a stamp in their booklet for every challenge they complete (and there are a choice of activities for each challenge) and everyone who completes will receive a certificate. Please promote this campaign to the families you work with, and encourage them to visit their local library to sign up. Find out more on the library website:

Clacton Family Warm Hub
Friends of St. Clare's

Just wanted to remind you that this coming Friday (3rd February), we are taking part in the NSPCC Number Day.

We are going to be having a non-uniform day, where we are asking the children to instead take part in 'Dress up for Digits Day', where the children come to nursery wearing an item of clothing with a number on it, e.g. a football shirt, cap. Or they can get even more creative and design their own unique numbers themed outfit. To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for a suggested donation of £1 to take part
