Free School Meals from September 2026
Due to a Government expansion of the scheme, all families are required to apply from 1 June 2026, regardless of whether your child currently receives Free School Meals.
If your child currently receiving Free School Meals (FSM) will need to re-apply now or if you believe that your child may now be entitled to Free School Meals, from September 2026 under the new critera, then please apply now.

Due to the warm weather, there is no expectation for our students to have, or wear, their blazers in school over the coming weeks.
This concession will be reviewed based on weather.
PLEASE NOTE: Jumpers are not a substitute for a Blazer.
i.e. No Blazer worn = No Jumper either. If students wish to wear a jumper / cardigan then a blazer would need to be worn as well - as per our usual expectations.
Ties must still be worn and shirts must be tucked in - again as per our usual expectations.
We encourage students to bring in a re-fillable water bottle in their school bag.
These can be re-filled at special refill points around the school during breaks and lesson changeover, BUT NOT during lesson time.

Former students of Clacton County High School and Sixth Form
Do you remember that feeling in Year 12?
That mix of excitement and anticipation about what the future may offer?
You have a unique perspective that our students will truly value. We welcome you into our college at Sigma Sixth, Jaywick Lane to meet our current Year 12 students and chat to them about your pathway since leaving sixth form and the decisions that brought you to where you are.
This informal session will take place on Wednesday 10th June, from 9am to 10.30am
It will be a great opportunity for our students to hear your stories, learn from your experience and ask questions of those who have moved on from formal education.
Whether you are just starting out, or many years have passed, we would love to hear from you.....
