The Dance House Academy provides excellent tuition in all elements of the Performing Arts to students of all ages whether they are looking for a fun pastime or a career in the industry. We now have nearly 120 pupils enrolled with us taking advantage of the wide range of classes taught by our dedicated team of qualified teachers. Principal Lisa Hills was trained under Ivy Baker before becoming a pr

ofessional dancer at the age of 15 . She worked in Europe before returning to England to attend a three year intensive Teacher training/Dance diploma along side a Diploma in History Of Dance which she passed with Distinction .The school has successfully run since 2007 making this our 10 year Anniversary. Lisa teaches all our Ballet , tap, modern classes for younger children,seniors and adults, and continues to teach the baby ballet. Alongside , are her three qualified teachers in Musical Theatre , Drama , Singing , Freestyle and Contemporary. All teachers are First Aid Trained with enhanced DBS AND Safeguarding. Students at the school have the opportunity to perform in our bi-annual Dance Show at the Princes Theatre in Clacton which is always a lot of fun. We hold regular, optional, BTDA (British Theatre Dance Association ) ballet , tap and modern exam sessions.with our new Lyrical exams now available. We also provide choreography through private tuition classes and support to students wishing to participate in audition for vocational schools or outside projects . Private lessons available in all genres also including singing and drama . We have had endless achievements in various Dance Productions and work with many groups in all aspects of the industry. Please have a look at what we have to offer, and call us if you require any further information, or just come along to let your child try a class, on a pay as you go basis with the first class free

Please note that we follow as closely as possible the Clacton County High School term dates and close the weekends both sides of half terms. We look forward to meeting you and remember our aim is to ensure all children no matter what level of ability enjoy themselves while learning and exercising.

Next year marks an incredible milestone as TDH Academy celebrates 20 amazing years of dance, friendship, opportunities and unforgettable memories.

Over the past two decades, hundreds of students have walked through our doors, grown in confidence, found lifelong friendships and discovered a love for performing. Now it’s time to celebrate everything that makes TDH so special.

This won’t just be another show, it will be a celebration of our history, our journey and, most importantly, the incredible people who have been part of it.

We cannot wait to begin this exciting chapter with all of our students, past and present, and create a production worthy of such a special anniversary.

Here’s to 20 years of memories… and to making many more. 💜

✨ The Team Behind Constellation 2026 ✨

While the performers are the stars of the stage, every show has a team working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the magic happen.

A huge thank you to Miss Lisa, Miss Ashleigh, Miss Lorna and Miss Lara for the countless hours, endless dedication and unwavering commitment that went into creating Constellation 2026.

Months of planning, choreographing, rehearsing, organising, problem-solving and supporting every performer all led to this incredible weekend. There were early mornings, late nights and so much hard work behind the scenes, all with one goal, to give our students an unforgettable experience and a show they could be proud of.

Seeing the confidence, joy and talent of our performers on stage made every minute worthwhile.

Thank you for everything you’ve given to make Constellation 2026 such a special production. We couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together as a team.

A huge congratulations to every single member of the Constellation 2026 cast. You stepped onto that stage with confidence, passion and professionalism, and you made us all unbelievably proud.

Watching each and every one of you shine reminded us exactly why we do what we do. From our tiniest stars taking their first steps on stage to our adult performers leading by example, you gave your all in every rehearsal and every performance. The talent, dedication, kindness and teamwork you showed throughout this journey has been nothing short of incredible.

To our wonderful parents and families, thank you for every lift to rehearsals, every costume washed, every late night, every word of encouragement and for trusting us with your amazing children.

To our incredible chaperones and volunteers, thank you for keeping everything running so smoothly backstage. Your care, patience and endless support allowed the performers to feel safe, calm and ready to shine.

Thank you to the amazing tech team at the Princes Theatre. You really helped create and bring our vision to life and we are so thankful to you!

Most of all, to our performers…

Never forget how special this weekend was. You didn’t just put on a show, you told stories, created memories and left your audience smiling, laughing, crying and cheering. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you.
