What a great week supporting Greenway Training near Lyneham!

I had the pleasure of training 11 awesome people on an EFAW + Forestry First Aid course, focusing on the realities of providing first aid in remote, challenging environments.

We covered everything from catastrophic bleeding and crush injuries to working in remote locations, because when you’re working in the forestry industry, help isn’t just around the corner.

A brilliant group, great engagement, and loads of really valuable practical training. 💪🌳

Another great week delivering First Aid at Work training for a Landmarc team.

Getting outside and using their own working environment makes the scenarios far more realistic. It's something that has never happened on any of their previous courses and the feedback has been fantastic.

Another successful day delivering Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and Forestry First Aid training at Greenway.

It was a pleasure to train a group of eight delegates who all work in high-risk outdoor environments. 💯 % effort and everyone achieved their qualification and are now better equipped to provide first aid support in remote locations.

On an Inspire First Training first aid course, we don’t rely on singing “Stayin’ Alive”, “Nellie the Elephant”, or any other random song to try to remember the correct CPR compression rate of 100–120 compressions per minute.

Instead, we use a smart metronome set at 110 beats per minute. It’s free from your App Store, works in the background while you’re on a call with emergency services, and takes away the pressure of trying to count and keep the right rhythm during a stressful situation.

Because when it matters, you need confidence, not a song stuck in your head.
