Congratulations to Myrtle Moore. In her first year of studying with me, she has been accepted into the National Youth Choir, also Longborough Youth Choir, (Longborough Festival Opera) where she is appearing in Hansel and Gretel and passed her ABRSM grade 5 singing with Distinction along with her grade 5 music theory also with Distinction (thanks to Robin)! Amazing achievements!!

Congratulations to two of my former students who are making their way in the world of Musical Theatre. Isabel Vaughan-Palmer is due to make her West End debut this evening in Les Miserables and Alice Rimmer has just finished a European tour in Phantom of the Opera. Congratulations to my talented student Alina. She’s just won a trophy and 90 marks for her performance of Vaughan Williams‘ Silent Noon in the adults Set Song class. Alina is off to study at the Royal College of Music in September. UPDATE: since writing this she has one another trophy and a rosebowl. She has won the Clevevale Trophy for a musical theatre and a folk song and the Rosebowl for the best adult singer in the festival. Here she is pictured with 2 of her trophies and with my other student Katherine, who also sang beautifully in the festival. Shame they don't give second prizes.

Absolutely FANTASTIC news for our brilliant 2nd year student Alina, who has secured a place to train at the Royal College of Music in London, on their BMus (Hons), specialising in voice. What a stunning achievement - the Royal College of Music is one of the world's top conservatoires. We are absolutely thrilled for you, Alina - CONGRATULATIONS!
