ARE YOU KILLING YOURSELF?
In our toxic world the killing formula is simple – adopt an unhealthy lifestyle, harbour too much stress and rely too heavily on medical intervention and this regime will equal disaster for you.
The majority of the population take the “who cares and so what” attitude to both psychological and physiological health. If you are ill, for example, do you take the attitude that “these things just happen and I am very unfortunate” or “Well, we’ve all got to die sometime, haven’t we?”
But have you ever stopped to wonder whether there is another way? And have you ever considered that things can be reversed with just a little effort on your part? The body-mind system knows how to do it and so why not give it a chance and stop taking a defeatist attitude?
Our self-healing ability
The human system possesses a phenomenally powerful self-healing system for natural recovery far more potent than any orthodox medical intervention. This self-healing mechanism applies to both physical health and emotional well-being.
The body-mind is equipped with hundreds of genes which are designed to help you to survive. But this mechanism has not evolved for approximately 3.5 million years since the cave-dweller hunted for sustenance and experienced periods of food shortages as part of life. And yet in our high-tech age of so-called advancement most people rely on the quick-fix and fast-food route and then adopt the devil-may-care approach which is utterly contrary to our genetic inheritance.
Psychological healing
Psychological health can be treated with a little help from a qualified analytical hypnotherapy practitioner who is versed in root-cause analysis and resolution methodology. Emotional well-being can then be easily coupled with the adoption of a healthy lifestyle and a positive-thinking mindset.
The abandonment of unhealthy habits (such as eating sugar, consuming processed foods, drinking alcohol, taking chemical drugs and indulging in substance abuse), together with the ability to minimise stress, will then naturally complete the picture.
Physiological healing
Physiological health can normally be successfully aided by a naturopathic or homeopathic practitioner, for example, who will encourage your body to rid itself of toxic stress and help you to cure your own disease pattern or potential disease picture.
We live in a toxic world whereby questionable farming methods, medical drugs, a polluted environment and numerous unenlightened people can cause infinite damage. You might find, consequently, that if you rely on too much medical intervention you might be signing your own death warrant.
Treating symptoms or causes?
The benefits of alternative healthcare is an unsung story much maligned by so-called conventional medical wisdom into which most of the populace has bought on the basis that someone else knows best. It is as if the majority of people obey others unquestionably simple because they have learned to react in this way from childhood and schooldays onwards.
Ask yourself why you follow the crowd and why you are influenced by propaganda from money-grabbing drug-barons, sugar-laced processed-food suppliers, the sensational media and corrupt politicians? As well as medics whose training is limited and antiquated in the extreme. The NHS in the UK, for instance, came into being as a cheapskate means of treating mass ill-health and attracting votes for politicians and now exists by adopting a follow-the-rulebook regime so that medical practice cannot be questioned or sued.
Conventional western medicine, which handles physiological health, thrives on merely treating symptoms with harmful suppressive drugs or surgery but certainly does not address – or even recognise – any underlying originating causes. Psychological health, moreover, has been formerly regarded by the medical practitioner as a nuisance-factor, at best, or the province of the hypochondriac, at worst.
The cognitive-behavioural practitioner, who administers to psychological health, will merely treat surface-level symptoms and will ignore the root-cause of the client’s emotive malaise. Is this approach taken up because of crass ignorance or avoidance of self-investigation on the part of the practitioner who works in this area? Yet, in professional terms, such a practitioner will actually be unqualified to deal with other people’s psychological distress. The adage of “physician heal thyself”, consequently, takes on a whole new perspective.
A bit of open-minded and lateral thinking on your part will often result in enlightenment and freedom from entrenched and outmoded beliefs which, in turn, will assist your psychological and physiological health and will reap untold benefits.
