Cirencester Opportunity Group As an independent charity, we work holistically with children and parents, providing early years edu

We welcome every child and their family from birth to 4 years. In addition to a thriving pre-school for children from 2 years, we offer a variety of Stay and Play and also Parent groups, which offer a friendly place for parents and children to meet, share and learn with the support of our highly qualified staff. With specialisms in supporting children with additional needs and those who may be vul

nerable due to many different circumstances, our Pre-School Educators, Sendcos and Outreach staff can help families to access the right levels of support for their children. Through a warm, welcoming and safe environment, we help all children and families to achieve their goals; providing opportunities for every individual to fulfil their potential. With the right support in place, we hope that all children will have the personal, social and emotional tools to be able to continue their educational and personal development, with every chance of a successful and rewarding future.

Thank you all that came to the final week of COG's summer playscheme; we had such a brilliant time at "Circus" week πŸŽͺ🀑

We've made puppets and put on shows; make clay creations, attempted the circus challenge including building enormous towers and hooking ducks. πŸ¦† Each session was finished with a delicious hot meal, we ended the week with face painting and ice creams as a special treat! 🍧🍧

As ever huge thanks to our amazing staff and volunteers who work so hard making the playscheme so much fun, we couldn't do it without you. πŸ’— Rebecca, Ezz and Gwen have all been volunteering throughout the playscheme, with Ezz and Gwen returning to COG as sixth form volunteers after attending the COG nursery themselves as small children! 😊

Thank you to Active Impact Hook & Loop Collective Chedworth Roman Villa - National Trust Lisa the librarian and Mel from Tesco's for all supporting these sessions. Over one hundred children and fifty families have regularly accessed the sessions this summer

We welcome you back when COG reopens to children and families on Wednesday 2nd September. Enjoy the rest of the summer. 😊

β˜€οΈ A huge thank you to the fantastic volunteer working party from St. James's Place! πŸ’š

Today we were incredibly lucky to welcome Laura and her team from St. James's Place, who generously gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to help care for our outdoor spaces. Working tirelessly in the glorious sunshine, they achieved an incredible amount in just one day.

Our much-loved playhouse has been given a beautiful new lease of life with a fresh coat of paint. This special space is at the heart of so much imaginative play – from role play and hide-and-seek to providing a quiet retreat for children who need a moment of calm. It now looks every bit as loved and cared for as it is by the children who use it every day.

The team also treated our entrance shelter with wood stain to help preserve it for years to come, improved our wheelchair ramp to make access easier for families, and treated the slide and sections of fencing, ensuring our outdoor environment remains safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

For a charity like COG, support like this is invaluable. Every hour our volunteers gave today and every job they completed helps us direct more of our resources towards supporting children with SEND and additional needs and their families. Their kindness has not only enhanced our grounds but will also improve accessibility and the experience of every child and family who visits our early years setting.

Laura and the team, thank you for choosing to spend your day with us. Your hard work, generosity and community spirit have made a lasting difference, and we are so grateful. πŸ’š
