On Saturday we hosted our first retreat, and it was simply lovely! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a heart-warming and memorable day.
Activities (and relaxation) included yoga and massage with Emily, drawing with Clare , sound bathing with Shilpa, and weaving and foraging with Rowan.
We can't wait to run another one soon. Watch this space, and let us know if you'd like to join our next one...

Bring your little ones along for some fresh air, muddy hands and plenty of fun in the beautiful woods at Barnsley Herb Garden.

Our popular parent & toddler group is a lovely way to spend a Friday morning outdoors, with a mix of nature-based activities, creative play, gardening, messy fun, campfire cooking, songs and stories — with lots of time to explore and enjoy the woods too. 🌿🔥

There’s a warm drink waiting for the grown-ups and hot chocolate for the little ones, and plenty of shelter if the weather does its usual autumn thing!

Family Water Discovery Morning Walk with Cotswolds National Landscape, Cotswold Lakes Trust, the Cotswolds Rivers Trust, and Evenlode Catchment Partnership

A fun family walk exploring water wildlife, butterflies, trees, water quality and simple ways to protect our local waterways.

Arrive between 9:30am and 10:00am at Cleveland Farm Quarry. There is a short drive through the site to the parking area, so please drive slowly and follow the speed limit.

Start the short circular walk whenever you arrive, exploring a range of interactive activity stations about wildlife, water and trees at your own pace. The walk route is a flat, easy walk on a mixture of grass and gravel paths. Please wear suitable footwear.

Please note that dogs are not permitted, except assistance dogs.

Facilities: Toilets and a coffee truck will be available on site.

End of term photo. Summer '26.
Thank you to everyone who has joined us in the woods this year. It's been wonderful to be there with you.
We'll be back in September, so if you have any friends with little ones who enjoy connecting with the outdoors, nature, friendly communities, let them know about our group.
We're also inviting people to join us for a special family day on Thursday 27th August. Kids of all ages welcome.

💦 Come and join us in the woods this Friday morning for some splashy water play at Woodland Wildlings! 🌿

We'll be at Barnsley Herb Garden enjoying all the simple joys of being outdoors – pouring, splashing, nature crafts, stories, songs, and plenty of time to explore at your little one's own pace.

Forest School is all about slowing down, building confidence, getting hands dirty, making friends, and enjoying fresh air together. It's as much for grown-ups as it is for little wildlings!

Bring a change of clothes... water play is definitely on the cards! We'd love to see you. 💚
