The School is committed to remain a traditional school with a strong boarding ethos. This means that throughout each day, there are things to do and people with whom to do them. All our boys and girls, boarding and day, benefit from this culture. The academic, sport and music co-curricular activities and drama opportunities open to our students at Rendcomb are central to our idea of curriculum. Rendcomb’s day pupils are valued members of its Houses
The School does not have day houses. Day pupils are integrated members of the School’s boarding houses and this assimilation is central to the inclusive sense of community nurtured at Rendcomb. Entry Points
The main entry points are at Nursery, Otters, Juniors, 11+, 13+ and 16+. Students may be accepted at other points if places are available

This week we were delighted to welcome local school pupil Eloise C to our Marketing Department for a day of work experience.

She explored the different roles within marketing and discovered how a school operates behind the scenes. A keen photographer, Eloise captured a fantastic selection of images during her varied day at Rendcomb including a special series of ‘Then and Now’ shots inspired by photographs from the 'Rendcomb Park – Catalogue of Sale', dating back over a century. Huge congratulations to Arwen S who has been named in the Wales Under 21 Emerging squad. Arwen, captain of Girls’ Hockey here at Rendcomb, is now preparing for the forthcoming School Games.

Director of Sport, Luke Robinson, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to share some fantastic individual news. Arwen has received the exciting announcement that she has been selected to represent Wales at Under 21 level in National Age Group Hockey. This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to her dedication, talent and hard work. We are all so proud of you, Arwen - what an amazing accomplishment!"

A wonderful musical opportunity!

On Saturday morning, Felix (Year 4) enjoyed the amazing opportunity to play the magnificent four-manual organ at Cirencester Parish Church. As well as trying out the organ and exploring the huge range of sounds it can produce, Felix, his mum and Dr Edwards were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the pipes and mechanisms.

Parish organist Thomas Hawkes demonstrated the extraordinary power of this incredible instrument and shared his expertise so generously. Our heartfelt thanks to Thomas and everyone at Cirencester Parish Church for such a warm welcome and a truly memorable experience.

Saturday saw five Rendcomb lacrosse teams travel to Westonbirt for a triangular tournament. The highlight was a victory from the U12s in their debut fixture, whilst there were also hard-fought wins for the 1sts and U15s. Our thanks to St Helen & St Katharine and Westonbirt for the matches. Rendcomb College is proud to support

This academic year, 23 pupils from Y9–Y13 completed their Level 2 First Aid for Youth Mental Health qualification. They explored mental health and wellbeing, understanding stress, a range of mental health conditions, how to protect mental wellbeing, and how to signpost others to the right support.

They were a fantastic group – taking detailed notes, showing real commitment, and all passing with flying colours. Even more impressive, they volunteered their time and gave up a Saturday, living our Rendcomb virtues of empathy and service.

Our pupils are well supported through Rendcomb’s strong pastoral network, including our Mental Health First Aiders, Medical Centre, School Counsellor, Chaplain, Tutors and Safeguarding Team.

Good luck to our lacrosse teams who travel to Westonbirt School this morning for a series of fixtures.

The 1st X, captained by Izzy A, will look to continue their great form, in their final fixture of the half term.

The U12s, U13s, U14s and U15s are also in action as they take on St Helen & St Katharine & hosts Westonbirt.
