β˜•πŸ° A huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who joined us for our End of Year Thank You Tea Party.

It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate the incredible support we receive from our volunteer readers, PTA, Open the Book Team and Governors. Over tea, scones and cake, our staff were able to express their gratitude for the time, care and commitment these volunteers give to our school throughout the year. πŸ’™

A special mention goes to the children, who did a fantastic job serving our guests and were wonderful ambassadors for our school. ⭐

Thank you to everyone who helps make our school community such a special place – we truly couldn’t do it without you! 🏫✨

🌦️✨ What a show! ✨🌦️

This week, Class 5 and Class 6 treated us to an incredible performance of Whatever the Weather, specially written for us by Amy Garry and Adrian McPherson. πŸŽπŸ‘

From the very first scene to the final bows, the children wowed us with their confidence, talent, humour and heart. Every single performer should be immensely proud of what they achieved – we certainly are! 🌟

A huge thank you also goes to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the production such a success. From costumes, props, sound, lighting and set design to selling refreshments, your support helped create a truly memorable experience for our children and families. πŸ’™

As our Year 6 children prepare for the next chapter of their journey, this production was a wonderful reminder of just how much they have grown. They shone on stage, supported one another every step of the way, and created memories that will last a lifetime. ❀️

Well done to everyone involved – what a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the year! πŸŽ‰

🌊🐠 What a fantastic day for Class R! 🐟🦈

On Monday, Class R had an amazing trip to Bristol Aquarium, where they explored the incredible underwater world and discovered so many fascinating sea creatures. From lobsters, sharks and stingrays to an octopus and beautiful starfish, there was so much to see! πŸ¦žπŸ™β

One of the highlights of the day was attending the Bay of Rays talk and feeding session, where we watched Ravioli the stingray enjoy his lunch! πŸ₯°

We were incredibly proud of how beautifully the children behaved throughout the day. They were curious, enthusiastic and asked some brilliant questions, making the most of every opportunity to learn.

Well done, Class R – you were a credit to our school, and it was a pleasure to share such a memorable trip with you! πŸ’™

The children had a brilliant time exploring the historic docks, discovering how Gloucester's waterways have shaped the city, and learning more about its rich maritime heritage. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life through hands-on experiences.

A huge well done to Class 3 for representing our school so brilliantly throughout the day! πŸ‘

🍽️A Very Special Leavers’ Lunch for Class 6🍽️

Today, our Class 6 children enjoyed a memorable Leavers’ Lunch with their families, celebrating their time at Stratton and the wonderful journey they have shared together. πŸ’™

A huge thank you to our fantastic PTA for generously funding the event, and to Chef Mel from Kitchen Club for helping the children create and serve a delicious three-course meal inspired by their recent London residential. πŸ™οΈβœ¨

The menu featured:
πŸ₯— A red and green salad inspired by the Houses of Parliament
πŸ₯§ London Eye Chicken Pie, celebrating one of the capital’s most iconic landmarks
πŸ‹ Royal Lemon Mousse, inspired by their visit to Buckingham Palace

The children showed incredible teamwork, confidence and hospitality skills throughout the afternoon, preparing the food and serving their guests with pride. It was wonderful to see them sharing this special occasion with their families. πŸ‘

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils and all they have achieved during their time at Stratton. We wish them every success and happiness as they prepare for their next adventure. 🌟

🐢✍️ Class 4 welcomed a very special visitor to inspire their writing – Connie the dog! ❀️

The children enjoyed giving Connie lots of cuddles and asking thoughtful questions, helping them build ideas for their narrative writing. It certainly sparked their imaginations, and their writing has really come to life!

A huge thank you to Connie and her owner Penny for such a memorable visit. 🐾
