The situation, on the borders of North Somerset and Somerset, is in pleasant rural surroundings in the lee of the Mendip Hills and the school is surrounded by wooded slopes and open countryside. The School serves a number of large villages set around Churchill including Wrington, Banwell, Congresbury, Sandford, Winscombe, Blagdon, Burrington, Redhill and Langford, but we also attract students from Weston-super-Mare, Hutton, Locking and some areas of Somerset which are geographically very close.

The transition from primary to secondary school is an exciting time for Year 6 students. We foster a supportive and engaging environment that supports your child as they move from primary to secondary education.

We design our Open Evening and Open Morning events to provide you and your child with a comprehensive insight into life at Churchill, helping you envision their future with us.

You'll be able to:
Tour our facilities: Led by our students, these tours offer a glimpse into what it's like to be a Churchill student.
Hear from the Headteacher: Gain insights into our vision and values during a presentation, which will be held at 5:15 pm and repeated at 6:15 pm.
Meet our staff: Speak directly with teachers and support staff to discuss subjects and the transition to secondary school and ask any questions you may have.

🎟️ Booking is required, but entry is free. We recommend one ticket per family.

What a way to finish the 2025–26 school year! 🌞

Our Field Day Finale celebrated the incredible students who earned a Golden Ticket through 95%+ attendance and positive behaviour across the year.

From racing around the inflatable obstacle course to flying down the giant slide, taking on garden games and cooling off with ice pops, it was a morning full of laughter and well-deserved fun.

At Churchill Academy & Sixth Form, we love celebrating the students who embody our values of Kindness, Curiosity and Determination every single day. Their commitment and positivity help make our school such a fantastic place to belong.

A huge congratulations to everyone who earned their Golden Ticket, you've definitely earned it! 👏

A huge congratulations to Mr Knock and Mr Patel, who have been named our Tudortastic Teachers of the Term! 👏🍎

The pair were surprised during tutor time when members of the Tudor Student Council dropped in to reveal the exciting news. 🎊

Mr Knock also received his well-deserved Term 5 award!

Students praised both teachers for their endless positivity, unwavering support, and dedication throughout the year. Thank you for making such a positive difference every single day!

Congratulations to all the students who took part in this year's English High Attainers programme! 🎉

Students were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates in recognition of the challenges they completed throughout the year and they also received the eagerly awaited results from our 'Do Your GCSE Early for Fun Day'! 🏅✍️

A special shout-out to the Year 8 and Year 9 students who achieved an incredible Grade 6 at GCSE, an outstanding accomplishment at such a young age! 👏

From tackling A-level lessons and mastering seriously tricky spelling tests to leading grammar starters as trainee teachers, our students have embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, confidence, and determination.

✨🎉 Art, Design and Technology Winners! 🎉✨

The last two weeks of term have been full of excitement in our ADT department with the launch of our Golden Ticket Scheme! 🌟

Students earned tickets for showing effort, kindness, creativity, resilience, progress, supporting others, and consistently demonstrating our ADT values. 💛

An incredible 60 Golden Tickets were entered into our prize draw, and after the draw (completed by Miss Cox and verified by Mrs Dearn), we're thrilled to congratulate our winners... 🥁

Aspens crowned their World Cup Winners this week, bringing their football competition to an exciting finish! 🎉

Students earned entries with every lunchtime food purchase from 6–10 July, before taking their best shot at guessing how many footballs were in the jar. ⚽🤔

A huge congratulations to Gracie and Reuben, whose guesses were the closest! 🎊 They each took home an official World Cup football to enjoy all summer long.

Well done to everyone who took part, and thanks to Aspens for a fantastic competition!

A huge well done to Elsie, Georgia and Lacey, who proudly represented Weston Gymnastics Club at the Aerobic Gymnastics British Championships this weekend! 🌟

Competing in the Youth Aerodance category alongside five teammates, they took on some of the best clubs from across the UK and their hard work paid off with an incredible bronze medal! 👏🏅
