💎Great reference for a better takeaway 💎

Here I am using a knitting needle to help reference grip end of club in takeaway. Real useful way to see how the club is travelling.

My tendency is to lift hands and pull club in, causing some issues later in the swing. If you want to learn more about your game.please reach out.

💎 PGA Club Professionals Tournament 💎

First 4 round tournament in over 2 years with a cut it was great to make the top 50 after 2 days and to finish tied 24th was a solid effort. I wasn’t at my best off the tee (biggest area to work on) I stayed very patient and gave it my all. I had a little chat with on Monday evening as I have been feeling down about my golf. So a little reset and a listen to a bob rotella podcast about being the best version of myself really hit home.

Even with a poor finish yesterday, 5 over for 2 holes I walked off the course knowing I gave it my best. Not so long ago I would have been 😡 with that.

Massive shout out to for winning. What a great achievement matey. Well deserved.

💎 golf is a game of limiting mistakes 💎

Do you go out on the course with an expectation of score? Does the score play on your mind?

My last game was full of all kinds on inconsistencies. I missed 3 par 3 and made bogeys as well as holing a 9 iron from 160 for eagle on par 4. This game is full of ups and downs and when competing I’m looking too much into my score and go into turmoil when things are not planning out. As a coach and as a player, I can totally relate to you all with the level of frustration. We set this external focus of score and when we don’t achieve it we feel like we fail.

Time to realign my process and stay away from being score related and stay committed to every process.

What a busy couple of weeks on the golfing front.

I have trained really well this winter and it’s great to start off 2026 in this manner. Working hard with has been great. We have identified my weaknesses, highlighted my strengths and built a plan to improve.

💎 making changes takes time 💎

I made a commitment over 2 and half years ago with to adopt some changes to help improve my ball flight, turn my driving into a strength and help improve my bad shots. With lots of reps, practice, feedback and constant pressure testing the results are now a Biproduct of the process.

It takes time. We have a lesson and expect results straight away, but the refinement is through quality of reps and feedback.
