💎 Great end to a season of opportunity 💎

Devon festival was last event of the 2026 west region schedule. If was great to finish on a high with plenty of learning along the way. The season started off strong wining the gloucester and Somerset pga OOM then a solid 4th spot at Cornish festival. Then some solid golf in the middle of season, before a stretch of inconsistent performances.

Then it was great to have a reset, realign the plan and have a brilliant 2nd place in Devon with a tied 1st team score.

Now time to sit down, plan the winter and build for 2027. Huge shout out to my team and sponsors who make all the possible. Goal is to make the 2028 PGA cup, so let’s get to work. FOCUS PLAN PERFORM

💎 Are your drills helping you move better 💎

My plan is all about moving better to help me swing it better. Less hitting, more reps. Better movement. Working with on all things swing and keeping a close eye on my body movement is a great combination.

In the past I have always tried to find a magic potion but it’s not the answer. Better practice, better movement and a continuous blueprint and plan to work on.

💎Great reference for a better takeaway 💎

Here I am using a knitting needle to help reference grip end of club in takeaway. Real useful way to see how the club is travelling.

My tendency is to lift hands and pull club in, causing some issues later in the swing. If you want to learn more about your game.please reach out.

💎 PGA Club Professionals Tournament 💎

First 4 round tournament in over 2 years with a cut it was great to make the top 50 after 2 days and to finish tied 24th was a solid effort. I wasn’t at my best off the tee (biggest area to work on) I stayed very patient and gave it my all. I had a little chat with on Monday evening as I have been feeling down about my golf. So a little reset and a listen to a bob rotella podcast about being the best version of myself really hit home.

Even with a poor finish yesterday, 5 over for 2 holes I walked off the course knowing I gave it my best. Not so long ago I would have been 😡 with that.

Massive shout out to for winning. What a great achievement matey. Well deserved.

None of this would be possible with my sponsors dcs cleanjng. All to everyone who wished me well and took the time to drop me a message.

Appreciate it. Things to learn; things to build on, things that to accept, things to get better at. Onto the next one.

💎 golf is a game of limiting mistakes 💎

Do you go out on the course with an expectation of score? Does the score play on your mind?

My last game was full of all kinds on inconsistencies. I missed 3 par 3 and made bogeys as well as holing a 9 iron from 160 for eagle on par 4. This game is full of ups and downs and when competing I’m looking too much into my score and go into turmoil when things are not planning out. As a coach and as a player, I can totally relate to you all with the level of frustration. We set this external focus of score and when we don’t achieve it we feel like we fail.

Time to realign my process and stay away from being score related and stay committed to every process.
