The school will be open until end of day, Friday 23rd December, before closing for Christmas and reopening on Tuesday, 3rd January. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members, PPL's, students and staff for their support during 2022 - and of course, wish everyone a very, merry Christmas and a happy start to the new year 🥂 We look forward to welcoming you back in 2023 ✈️☀️

Hi Everyone

We are preparing to reopen the school from Monday 12th April.

If you have not been contacted by us and wish to arrange a check flight or PPL lessons, please can you book yourself in by requesting a slot through the online booking system or by emailing us and we will arrange for you.

Our Covid procedures will remain the same when we re-open. Please remember your head sets and face masks.

Due to our delayed start this year, the membership will run from April to December at a reduced cost of £65.00.

The new CAA Southern England & Wales Charts will be available from the school at the same price as last year of £16.00.

We look forward to welcoming you all back the school.

In the meantime there is some useful information on the return to flying in the Clued Up Magazine which can be found on the CAA website.

We hope everyone has had a pleasant Christmas break. As you may have already heard Gloucestershire has moved into Tier 4 which does not permit flying training for Private Pilot Licenses. This of course means we will not be able to reopen the school as planned on 2nd January. It is very disappointing after the lockdowns we endured last year but hopefully when the vaccinations become more available we will slowly be able to return to normal operations.

We will be monitoring the email and phone line so please get in touch if you need any advice etc. and will keep everyone informed of any new developments. We have also heard today that ATC have a case of Covid and services will not resume until as least the middle of next week.

For those of you with bookings in the system please ignore any flight reminders. We are keeping the bookings in the system as it enables easier rescheduling when we reopen.

In the meantime we wish everyone a Happy and Safe New Year 🥂

Dear all,

Following the government's announcement on Saturday, we will be temporarily closed from tomorrow, 5th November until Wednesday, 2nd December.

All flying training and tests are not permitted during this time.

We are also unable to accept self fly hire bookings as travelling to the school is deemed a non-essential journey.

We will of course keep you updated if anything changes.

We look forward to seeing you all again in December.

We have just heard the sad news that Bill Tollett passed away this morning. We have fond memories of this lovely gentlemen at Staverton Flying School.
All our staff and members send our sympathies to his family and friends.
Rest in Peace Bill.
