Struggling to get out at the moment and do some more of this!! Knee is playing up terribly at the moment and impacting muscles higher in my leg as well as my calf and ankle as well!! Feel like a bit of a wreck at present!!

Anyway good memories of this walk up near Congleton on part of the gritstone trail. Near to where my Dad lives - I used to go up into these woods regularly for a bit of solace and peace.

Locally the area is known as ‘The Cloud’ as the peak of the walk takes you to an edge overlooking Congleton and it’s regularly covered in clouds!! You start at the car park by Timbersbrook Picnic area and the route is well signposted.

Anyway as usual I always find time for a brew on the way in and stopped for a bite to eat as well on this walk.
