Hello loves - thank you so much for being here.

I have been spending time in Circle with Circle School as we question how we’re doing things, explore different ways and imagine what might be possible for us.

In particular, we’re further unpacking our business model and how to truly be a demonstration of circle principles in every aspect of our work.

I was recently given some advice that created a powerful NO within my whole system. I also realised that simply rejecting what breaches my values is only part of the story.

I’m still trying to fit Circle School into a model that doesn’t feel right.

I don’t want to inadvertently perpetuate capitalist, patriarchal business practices. I don’t want to be part of the harmful and toxic practices I witness and have experienced with feminine lifestyle and spiritual empowerment brands. I don’t want to be a brand.

says your vision is the furthest you can see. I’m looking for my furthest horizon.

I desire to create meaningful and purposeful resources, courses and experiences that are helpful and useful for others, whilst creating meaningful relationships.

My intention is always to be open, transparent and generous in my teachings, resources, and guidance and to hold a space where each of us contributes and receives.

Just as I desire to continually reimagine circles for our times, I want to reimagine my business and keep seeking a congruent way to share my devotion to circles and support my family.

I’ve been exploring different payment models and community platforms.

I am also tending to my energy levels as I navigate peri-menopause, and devoting more time to my family roles of mother, aunt, daughter, sister and partner.

For now, I have decided to be on one social media platform and I have chosen Instagram. I love the community of Circle Holders that I have connected with there and the functions offered through stories, reels, IGTV, Guides and of course, the grid.

Deep deep gratitude this evening for all the incredible folk in my world.

Today in Circle Medicine I chatted with a group of glorious circle holders - those who are certified, those who have completed Circle School and those who might.

We gathered together on Zoom from the lands we live on - England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Australia, the UAE and the USA.

We explored what drew us to Circles, why we hold them, why they matter and how being part of Circle School can help 😉

At the close, Certified Circle Holder and a wise contributor to our curriculum, .haunui
asked me what keeps me going with Circle School?

I am so thankful for the question; for the opportunity to reflect and be witnessed.

I shared that just last year I lost my Circle mojo. Not that I changed my mind that “circles are the answer” but that I wasn’t the right person for Circle School.

I was held and supported through this near relationship breakup by an incredible community of Circle Holders.

It was deep inner work and I found my belief and trust in myself again.

Circle School isn’t the right training for everyone; but for those that it is, we create and hold powerful and transformative circles across modalities and systems and for many different communities.

Circle is my contribution to this modern movement that has such potential for healing, for creating, for reclaiming, and for reimagining ourselves and our world.

Wherever you are in your Circle Holder path, I honour your journey and I bow to your courage.

Heartfelt thanks to .haunui .mulhern and those that joined us 🙏🏻🧡

Crossing the threshold⠀

As you enter the space and take your place in Circle, my intention is for you to cross the threshold into a different dimension of time and space.

To come to a place within you where you are open to receiving - emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.⠀

As we welcome folk into Circle, we draw on own practices, experience and modalities. ⠀

I will greet and welcome you. There may be music playing or we may enter in silence. If we’re in person (when we can again), I may ask your permission to spritz you with a delicious clearing spray or give you an oracle card or a hug!

If we’re on-line I may invite you to set up your own sacred space and ask you to bring your journal and a candle. ⠀

We can carry this into our day to day lives. ⠀

Every time we welcome someone into our space (it may be our home, our office, a workshop, in a cafe, a zoom call) or commune with the wild, we can do so with the intention that we will both be open to receiving from our time together and what is shared and experienced contributes to the greater whole.

We can take a moment to connect, to greet and welcome each other and consciously enter this time together. ⠀

How can you welcome others across the threshold in your daily life?🧡

For Day 1 of Circle Medicine we gathered in a glorious learning Circle to explore the principles and philosophical foundations of our circles.

These are some of the prompts that we deepened into:
⭕️ what is your intention for your circles?
⭕️why do you desire to gather folk in this way?
⭕️ what is the meaningful purpose of your circles?
⭕️why will folk come and how do you want them to feel?

These are doorway questions to crafting your own circle map and drafting your guidelines.

Having clarity on the principles and values that your circles embody informs the language you use, the energy you bring, how you show up. Our circles are a reflection of who we are. These questions are the bones for us to sing over as we bring our Circles to life.

We also went on a powerful guided imaginal journey with an unanswerable question for our circles.....you had to be there 😉

If you’d like to join us for the rest of the week, sign up via the link in my bio and I’ll also send you the recording from today so you can take that journey 🧡

Before welcoming folk across the threshold into Circle, I ground and centre myself.⠀

I intentionally activate my connection to Mother Earth by gently pushing through the soles of my feet or base of my spine, imagining beautiful threads of light travelling down through the floor and the ground all the way to the heart of Mother Earth. ⠀

As I breathe in, I draw up the feeling of being held, loved, supported and nourished. ⠀

As I breathe out I choose to release the fears, thoughts, beliefs that are not serving me to Mother Earth, letting her hold them for me. ⠀

I centre myself by invoking the Goddess in all her forms aligning with her energy. ⠀

I ask to be taken to that place within me that is unshakeable and that I am a channel for her and that all that unfolds in Circle serves each of us and the collective. ⠀

I use variations of these practice throughout my day; opening a Circle, replying to messages or emails, having a challenging conversation with someone, writing a social media post, being interviewed or delivering a class. ⠀

Circles aren’t something we do, but something we are. ⠀

How do you ground and centre yourself? 🧡

Begin with intention

Before Circle begins, we take time to reflect on our intention for the Circle and to honour the sacred privilege of holding space for others.

My questions for myself are:

- what is my intention in holding this Circle?
- what meaningful purpose will it serve?

As Circle Holders, we can begin everything with intention:

- start our day setting an intention for how we wish to feel
- preparing food with an intention that it will nourish us
- starting a conversation with the intention to listen deeply
- posting on social media with the intention that our post will be of service and be seen by those that need it

Circles aren’t something we “do” but who we “be”.

In preparation for the next round of Circle School, Circle Medicine begins today. It’s free and you’re invited. Link in my bio🧡

Hello, hello hello and thank you for being here.

I’m Mitlé (mit-lay), a former lawyer turned Circle Holder obsessive!

Circle Holding is my art and craft; I am devoted to deepening and expanding my capacity whilst sharing and teaching others on this path.

I founded Circle School in 2017 to guide you on your journey of creating and holding your own powerful, tranformative, inclusive and accessible gatherings.

I feel with every fibre of my body that Circles are essential as a sacred practice, as oral wisdom libraries, as containers for collective sharing and learning, as spaces to find the courage to use our voices, as places to practice our willingness to be seen and take up space and as story cauldrons where we reclaim our herstory and our mythic imagination.

My vision is that not only can we all attend safer and sacred gatherings, but that Circles are embraced by organisations, businesses, movements, institutions, judicial systems and governments for communication, connection, collaboration, co-creation, change, and circular-leadership.

Over 100 women have now completed the Circle School Circle Holder course, and last year I held the first Certified Circle Holder training. Deep gratitude to our Certified Circle Holders .haunui 🙏🏻🧡

My intention here is to share my love of Circles and all that I practice and learn to help us all be the truest expressions of ourselves through our Circle work.

The next round of Circle School starts week beginning April 26th and we’re having a pre-course event next week.

Join me for Circle Medicine Week starting Monday 19 (tomorrow!).

It’s free and open to all Circle Holders (including those who are yet to hold your first Circle). Follow the link in my bio to join.

Circle Medicine week begins tomorrow.

A week of learning Circles, a glorious conversation with some of the members of Circle School, and a final Q&A session to close.

This is open to all who would like to take part and especially for those who:
- want to hold Circles and don't know where to start
- are holding Circles, and looking for some additional support (especially if you're returning to in-person Circles)
- are experienced Circle Holders who want to review/expand the role they play in your business

Much of what I will be sharing and guiding you through is applicable to life and being in right relationship with the world.

All calls take place at 11am BST via zoom and will be live-streamed into the FB group (tech permitting). If you'd like to join the Zoom call, please sign up to receive the link, passcode, and the recordings following each call, through the link in my bio.

The calls:
Mon: Circle Foundations
Tue: Tending to our fears & doubts
Wed: Group Chat
Thur: The Business of Circles
Fri: Q&A

I've also got some surprises and prizes for you!

The next round of Circle School begins on April 26th, and so it seems like perfect timing for me to offer this.
