We have loved welcoming everyone back after the half term break! A short but sweet return! The rooms have been full of excitement as children reunited, shared stories and settled straight back into their nursery routines!

''Glycerol is often used to create the slush effect but in high quantities, especially to small children, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.

That's why slushies containing glycerol are not recommended for children under seven. And, older children should be limited to just one slush a day.''

A happy and creative week here at Highfield! We have enjoyed a whole mix of activities - from collage making and hailstone art to cooking up some delicious scrambled eggs!

🌈 NEURODIVERSITY WEEK 🌈

Last week was Neurodiversity week! Our children have been getting creative with a range of colourful crafts that celebrate individuality, strengths and the beauty of thinking differently!

They've enjoyed exploring different textures, colours and materials - from painting and collage making to sensory crafts! Each activity has given the children the chance to express themselves in their own unique way.

🎺 INTRODUCING … EXPLORERS GOT TALENT 🎺

Just a snippet of our outdoor Explorers area which has been buzzing with excitement as the children took to our newly refurbished stage! From singing, guitar playing and plenty of dancing, the children have truly shone!

They have loved to express themselves, performing with friends and showing off their amazing confidence!

A big well done to our little performers! The stage has never looked so bright 🌟

What a lovely week we have had with the sun shining!!!

The children have been full of smiles and we've made the most of every moment outdoors. From running around in the fresh air, parachutes, pe***ng out clothes to dry, exploring spring flowers and splashing our feet in cool water!

A joyful week, filled with sunshine, learning and lots of happy faces! 🥰
