We are incredibly proud to announce that Duke Street Nursery School has been selected to lead a new Stronger Practice Hub – Growing Together Lancashire and Beyond! 🎉💚

This exciting opportunity will see us working with nurseries, pre-schools, childminders and Early Years professionals across Lancashire and beyond to share excellent practice, provide training and professional development, and support settings to achieve the very best outcomes for our youngest children.

🌿 Growing Together is exactly what our Hub is all about – learning, sharing and growing together for every child.

The last day of summer term is always a mix of emotions for us and yesterday was no exception! It's a day of fun and celebration, but it's also a day that we have to say goodbye to some of our children and families, some of whom have been with us years. We we received lots of generous gifts, but the things that mean the most to us are your words of thanks. Duke Street Nursery is a very special place and these cards verify what a difference we can make to children and families ❤️

What a wonderful week we have had celebrating the children's graduations! 🎓📖🎖

The children's journals and reports will be available to download from Tapestry next week. Reminder that we are still open Monday and Tuesday for normal sessions and Wednesday is party day. If you do not have the time for your child's party, please contact the nursery office.

Reminder: Graduations for our school leavers will be taking place next week. The graduations start at 2pm but please see the image below for your child's keyworkers assigned day. We are so excited to share this wonderful moment with you all and enjoy the last few days of your time with us! Let's make it magical! 👩‍🎓🎓🎖️

🐴🐷🐰Farm Day! 🐮🐔🐑
The children have had a wonderful day being visited by Fisher's Mobile Farm, who brought with them lots of animals for the children to see and stroke.
The children had the opportunity to brush the pony and we were even gifted a couple of eggs from the chicken's!

Today we showered our wonderful Sam with love as she leaves to have her baby. Sam is keeping her fingers (and legs) crossed that her baby girl doesn't arrive early so that she can return and attend her group leaving celebrations!
We will miss you Sam! Now get some rest before the sleepless nights begin 👶🏼💞

⭐ Weekly Round-up ⭐
Our amazing 2 year old's made a fruit cake this week, they helped add all the ingredients together and took it in turns mix it up and combine it. We think they did an incredible job!
