The Together Conference is being hosted online on 13–14 June, and while I’m really looking forward to the content, the thought of sitting at home alone watching it isn’t hugely appealing.

So, I thought I’d put some feelers out…
Would anyone be interested in meeting up with other like‑minded interpreters to watch the conference together, live and in person?

The idea would be to share the viewing experience, pause to chat, exchange ideas, ask questions, and have some good discussions around the topics — all while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake ☕🍰

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, let me know and we can see if there’s enough interest to make it happen.

Last weekend we had Professor of Linguistics at Birmingham University, Adam Schembri come to deliver a presentation on Sociolinguistics. It was fantastic, the student feedback was incredible. Thanks again, Adam Schembri.

Face to face teaching starts today, I’d better get in and set up quick. Hope there’s time for a brew!

I am so excited to start our new course next week. We have recruited a lovely bunch of learners and can’t wait to get them started on their journey to becoming skilled, confident and work ready qualified interpreters. The road is long and hard but so worth it.
