Personal, Social and Emotional - Under 3's 🧠

A developing understanding of differences and who wear are is the next development stage. Babies learn their facial features, but Under 3's start to explore their hair colour, eye colour and compare them between the group 👁‍🗨 💇

Here one of out children is drawing himself. He is talking about colours and beginning to develop the understanding of similarities and differences 👧 👦

Physical Development - Under 3's 🧠

As their skills start to develop, the children start to use tools more confidently including self feeding. This develops further in the age bracket of Under 3's as they begin to explore cutting with a knife, buttering their own toast, using scissors...🥄 ✂

Here under 3's have been cutting their own snack! Developing their fine motor skills 🍓

Communication and Language - Under 3's 🧠

As the children start to develop more speech books become a vital part of communication development. They promote listening and attention skills, speech development and help with understanding through pictures. 📙

Here one of the children is enjoying a book, they are recalling parts of the book, demonstrating understanding of what is happening, as well as acting on their understanding of actions such as who's crossing the bridge... 🐐

Expressive Arts and Design- Baby Room 🧠

Music, marks and movement are all apart of how a baby develops. Exploring sounds, reacting to the different sounds and how they change, exploring repetitive sounds and instruments. 🎶 🥁

Here two of our babies have been loving the music basket! Finding instruments and testing out the different sounds they can make 🔊

Understanding the World - Baby Room 🧠

Exploring natural materials, natural phenomenon outside of the setting and actions having an effect are all statements that babies develop in the understanding the World area 🗺

Here the babies have been exploring natural materials in a tuff tray, alerting all their senses 🌿

Mathematics - Baby Room 🧠

Early development of maths starts through number songs, exploring shapes, adults modelling counting and number names 1⃣ 2⃣ 3⃣

Our babies love shape sorting! 🔽 ⭕ ⬜

Literacy - Baby Room 🧠

Within Literacy, children aren't expected to sit and read or write within the Early stages. Babies are encouraged to share a book with an adult, sing lots of nursery rhymes and begin to make marks 🎶
