Clayton Green Judo Club
A member of the British Judo Association. First session is free! Club Coach = Robert Bigio Club members participate in judo for many reasons.
Clayton Green Judo Club is friendly club with excellent facilities teaching the art of judo to people of all ages and abilities, under the expert guidance of its senior coach Robert Bigio. If you are a practising judoka looking for additional training, returning to the sport after a spell away or are a complete novice, then Clayton Green Judo Club can provide the support and environment you need t
Unfortunately I got some bad news from Chorley Council who took over from Active Nation. They are trying to save money and are proposing to cancel the judo. It’s part of a consultation process (to be completed 15th May) and I had to write to them with my views. I did a long email and told them the history of the club and what I thought of it all. Sent a copy to Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Chorley MP and speaker of the House.
I had been trying to start the first session on 24th April but they did not agree. I had listed all the rules to make us COVID safe.
Will keep you all informed.
You are welcome to write to Chorley Council with your views and possibly copy Sir Lindsay.

It has been one year since our last practice at Clayton Green Judo Club as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I do hope that all our members are safe and well and looking forward to rejoining the club.
We are waiting for the Government, BJA and the Sports Centre to Confirm when this will be possible for our sport. It is always difficult to understand how the restrictions will affect combat sport in particular, where close contact is required.
I hope to have some good news in the next few months.
We will, of course, have to give the mats a deep clean although they have not been used during this period. If you would like to help please let me know.
I will update this page when I have further news.
Looking forward to seeing you all again.
