I’m Claire, founder of Love2Learn and a qualified Primary School Teacher with a passion for Early Years. I trained in Childhood Studies before completing my BEd QTS degree and began my teaching career in 2004, working in Outstanding schools alongside amazing educators.

After having my third little boy, I left teaching in 2017 to find a better work–life balance, and in 2018 Love2Learn was born. I started running fun, engaging phonics classes for preschool children in my local community — and I absolutely loved seeing little ones grow in confidence every day.

Our sessions are built around learning through play, with plenty of songs, games and movement, all based on sound a week. Children don’t even realise how much they’re learning as they develop speaking, listening, early reading, writing, motor skills and confidence in a fun, inclusive environment.

As demand grew, I wanted to create opportunities for other teachers to enjoy the best parts of teaching too. In 2024, I welcomed our first Love2Learn teachers, and we now have a small team of qualified teachers and Early Years practitioners, all committed to high-quality, safe practice.

I stay closely connected to schools as a governor and through ongoing teaching links, ensuring everything we do reflects current curriculum expectations. We also work with nurseries and have delivered training in local schools, always adapting our approach to meet individual needs.

At Love2Learn, our goal is simple — to give every child the best possible start, building confidence, curiosity and a love of learning that lasts. Every child is unique, every session is different, and that’s exactly why we love what we do.

I had such a blast at Haigh Woodland Park Food Festival last weekend run by the fantastic The Market Co.

Met some lovely new families and saw so many familiar faces too 🫶🏻 Thank you!

Feel so supported and loved seeing so many children having lots of phonics fun … ‘learning without realising’!

As most of you know, I’m part of the children’s entertainment for Haigh Hall Food Festival this weekend (8th & 9th August).
Excited but also a little nervous ☺️🫶🏻

I’m planning lots of fun with phonics and need your help. What sounds do you think I should cover for my 30 minute sessions?
I’ve got an idea which ones I think we can have the most fun with and even get active with some of my resources but would love your opinions!
