Graceland Drum Academy Drum tuition for all ages, abilities and styles

I am Barrie Owen the owner of Graceland Drum Academy and have taught people to play the drums for more than 25 years. Having studied under Paul Finan of Ambra Percussion Centre in Chorley, Lancashire which was founded in 1977, incorporating the first drum grade's within the United Kingdom and who’s honorary president was Sir Charles Groves, CBE, DR. Mus, FRCM and Hon RAM. I was one of the forerunners to continue teaching drum kit and snare drum to graded standard with organisations who subsequently followed such as The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity College London and the Rock School. In addition I have written several books which have stood the test of time and are great fun to play, having benefited students of all ages from 5 years to 80 years old in a very relaxed and fun environment.
