Just a reminder, Grading is a month tomorrow!!! Yes it is that friggin close. Are you putting in the practice at home? Time to full you fingers out and get it done. 🤣

Just got conformation...we have the smaller hall for the grading on the 4th July. As there's a party on in the larger hall and they can't have it tidy in time for the grading. So the smaller room it is

19 years ago, here at Whittle-Le-Woods! this was one of the first grading picture taken. Within this picture there ended up 6 Black Belts. 2 got to 3rd Dan. 2 got to 2nd Dan and Instructor level in Systema and 2 more got theier 1st Dans before moving on to Uni etc. Also 3 British Champions.

I'm running a promotion for January, where new families can train together for free for the whole of January. If you think you may know of anyone, message me directly and I'll pass on what information that you can send to them. Shihan.

January Family Training Month

We run a small, family-focused karate and self-defence class where parents and children train together on the mat.

Throughout January, new families are invited to train for free so they can properly experience the class without pressure or obligation.

Suitable from age 5 with a parent.
Saturdays 6–7.30pm at Whittle-le-Woods Village Hall.

So next week the 20th will be the last class of the years. A year you could say was a mixed bag, saying good by to friends we've trained with for years, but will always remain friends...then saying Hello to 3 new, home grown Senseis. So next week will be games and chocolates as always this time of year.
We will return on the 10th Jan 2026, so everyone will get a nice break, recharge, and hit the new year running.

Congratulations to Sensei's Gary, Nick and Millie on passing their 1st Dan. A lot of hard work paid off. And a big thank you the Sensei Stuart for taking the time to help set up and mark. Not forgetting Rhaya for partnering up with Millie to help her get through her Dan grade. Well done guys😁👍👏👏👏
