We are so proud of Holly and Phoebe who wanted to make a difference 💚

They decided to raise money for the place who looked after their Nana, so they did their own “Summer Fair” at Cuerden Valley, and raised an amazing £126 for St Catherine’s Hospice 💚

They spend the morning making bracelets, sweet cones and cakes, They then sold these in the afternoon. They were recognised on St Catherine’s socials yesterday for “Thank You Thursday” 🥰

What amazing role models you are girls! Your Nana will be looking down on you both and will be extremely proud 🥰

Year 6 had time to squeeze in one last theme day: 1980s.
We learnt about the miners strike and the impact this had. Children also enjoyed microwave food: micro chips! Great day with super dancing too.

A few children from year 6 visited the British Heart Foundation shop in Chorley to give in their donation. The manager was thrilled to receive £270. Thank you to everyone who visited the stalls at the mini summer fayre - you all contributed to this very good cause.

What a brilliant leavers disco tonight! The children all looked amazing. They danced, played games, sung very loudly and enjoyed super pizzas from the village pizza shop. Thank you to the parents who helped set up - the hall looked amazing. Thank you for making the lovely cakes too.

Year 6 had a visit from Becky Ramsey today. She spoke to all of year 6 about the dangers of swimming in open water following the loss of her son Dylan 15 years ago. Becky works tirelessly to raise awareness about water safety.

Thank you so much to our wonderful kitchen staff for making year 6 feel so special at their leavers lunch today.

To help Year 6 learn how to protect themselves they took part in a personal safety workshop event this morning.

Congratulations to this week’s certificate winners. This will be the last celebration worship until we return in September. Thank you to everyone who has brought medals and certificates in from home - we really enjoy celebrating your child’s achievements.
