Yesterday our Mental Health and Wellbeing Ambassadors very bravely stood at the front of the whole school during worship to deliver their message about Hello Yellow day.

Today they’ve visited most classes and reminded the children about our Hello Yellow day, which is tomorrow.

For a suggested £1 donation, we would love everyone to come to school wearing something yellow (an item of clothing or accessory) tomorrow, Thursday 8th October. Our ambassadors will give every child a personalised Hello Yellow sticker and all money raised will go to the Young Minds Mental Health charity.

The start of this term saw the re-grouping of our KS2 Mental Health and Wellbeing Ambassadors and included the introduction of two new ambassadors from Year 3.

This half term they have chosen to link their important work in school to the Young Minds charity's, Hello Yellow Day. A day to raise awareness and funds for young people's mental health.

They have been busy making posters and bunting to put up around school and working out how they can raise money for this important charity.

Next Tuesday they will talk to the whole school during worship about what they have been doing, then on Thursday, will collect in donations in exchange for a Hello Yellow sticker.

Their message is this, "wear something yellow and donate £1 to the Hello Yellow campaign next Thursday 8th October and receive a personalised Hello Yellow sticker."

(please note that we are holding our Hello Yellow day a day earlier than the National campaign)

We do hope you can support us with this and we will let you know the total raised next Thursday.

Year 6 had a great day on their trip to the Museum of Lancashire today. The theme was WW1 and they enjoyed learning more about the origins of the war; training to be a soldier and experiencing being in a trench. Their behaviour , knowledge and participation were all amazing. Thank you to our adult helpers for assisting.

Little Whittle Preschool children have had the best few weeks settling into their new environment!
They have enjoyed playing, learning, making new friends and getting to know their new routines. It has been so lovely to see their confidence grow as they explore the classroom, outdoor area and all the exciting learning opportunities around them.
We are so proud of how wonderfully they have settled in! 🌟

Year 6 enjoyed a theme day today linked to our History of the Theatre history unit. Today’s theme was to learn more about Elizabethan Theatre. The children all looked superb in their Shakespeare costumes. Super day. Well done Year 6.
