Nature Trail nursery Brinscall

To help the children settle into their new rooms, today we held a Teddy Bears picnic. Fun and games were had by all!

It’s been a very enjoyable week in nursery this week!

The children have especially enjoyed baking, going for nature walks, painting with sticks and making lava lamps!

Wellbeing Wednesday
Today in nursery we set up a spa room for the children where they had face masks, foot spa, tattoos, nails painted and made smoothies. All of the children really enjoyed their spa day experience. They even had a picnic lunch all together with their friends.
The staff also joined in the experience with a dress down day, staff breakfast and lunch.
Overall a wonderful spa day at nursery.

The children have had lots of outdoor fun this week!
A trip to the park, a listening walk as well as enjoying the garden 🧗🛝🌿🦆⚽️

After making pizzas out of playdough some of our children asked to make a ‘real pizza’. We brainstormed toppings and top of the list was tomatoes, cheese and ham, with others suggesting corn and peppers. They added the toppings and then enjoyed eating it 🍕

Some of the children enjoyed riding their balance bikes today!
We started with some warm up activities to encourage the children to follow instructions and get ready to learn. We then focused on balance, using games such as ‘walk like an animal’ and ‘crocodile river’. The children had lots of fun and can’t wait for their next session!

This week we start to say goodbye to our pre school class of 2025.
We are so proud of each and every one of you and would like to wish you all the best for your future school career. You will all be missed!

We are so proud of our preschool leavers 2025!
What an amazing leavers party have had! We had a visit from ‘Erin’s Pottery’ were the children enjoyed painting and designing their own money box. The children also enjoyed lots of fun party games and party food. We are now looking forward to our preschool graduation day.

We are so excited to receive our new bikes from ‘Bikeability trust’!

After building houses in the woods the preschool children decided to continue the ‘Three Little Pigs’ theme back at nursery.
We brought the story to life through dramatic play and having our very own little pig house!
Some of the children loved completing a ‘Three Little Pig’ assault course, rolling, running and jumping. Whilst others used different materials to build houses, and then tested their strength against the wolf’s ‘huff and puff’!
We explored further by looking at different buildings which the children drew and painted.
We have also enjoyed phonics, focusing on initial sounds of words contained in the story, as well as rhyming and blending!

Heads up from Health Protection - June 2025 bulletin This months edition includes:-

The children enjoyed their time in the woods today listening to the story The Three Little Pigs. They then split into two groups and working as a team built their own houses out of twigs, branches and leaves. We then discussed different building materials as well as a variety of different buildings.
We will extend this theme over the next couple of weeks back at nursery.
