🌾🍂 Jellybeans Harvest Festival Fun! 🍂🌾
We’ve had a lovely time celebrating the Harvest Festival at Jellybeans! 🧡

🎶 We enjoyed listening to the Reception class singing their lovely Harvest Song – what a wonderful way to celebrate the season! ❤

🥕 Vegetable printing – exploring different shapes and textures to create our own colourful harvest pictures. 🎨

📚 Harvest story time – enjoying a lovely story all about harvest and where our food comes from.

🧵 Vegetable threading – practising our fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration.

🚜 Small world farm play – using our farm set to explore farm animals, tractors and life on the farm. 🐑🐄🐖

So many wonderful opportunities for learning through play, exploring, creating and developing new skills together! 🍁🌽

🎃🧙‍♀️ Halloween fun at Little Acorns! 🕷️👻

We’ve had great fun with our fizzy cauldrons this week!🧪✨ The children explored our spooky sensory tray filled with witches’ hands, eyeballs and creepy-crawly spiders 🕷️👀🖐️

We also had lots of fun exploring coloured ice, using pipettes to drip water onto the ice and watch it melt and change. 🧊💧🌈 Such a lovely sensory activity for developing fine motor skills, concentration and curiosity.

And of course, we couldn’t finish our Halloween fun without some music and movement to The Skeleton Dance! 💀🎶💃

🌿💚 Welcome to Little Acorns, Lennie! 💚🌿

A big Little Acorns welcome to Gracie’s gorgeous little brother, Lennie! 🥰👶

Lennie had a lovely first day with us, exploring his new surroundings, having lots of cuddles and getting to know our Little Acorns routine. 🧸🌈

It was so lovely having him join us, and we’re looking forward to watching him grow, learn and have lots of fun alongside his big sister Gracie. 💕🌱

🍂🍁 Autumn fun at Little Acorns! 🍁🍂

We’ve been enjoying lots of lovely autumn activities this week! 🧡

🍁 Finger painting our autumn trees – using little fingers to create colourful leaves and watching our trees come to life! 🌳🎨

🎃 Pumpkin playdough – squishing, rolling, cutting and creating lots of autumn-themed shapes. Such a lovely sensory and creative activity! 🧡

🍂 Autumn lentil sensory tray – exploring different textures, scooping, pouring and finding lots of autumn treasures hidden amongst the lentils. 🥄🍁

So much exploring, messy play, creativity and learning through play at Little Acorns! 🥰

🍂🌰 Welcome Autumn at Little Acorns! 🌰🍂

We’ve been embracing the beginning of Autumn at Little Acorns, with lots of lovely seasonal activities and experiences for the children to explore. 🍁🧡

🍁 Our beautiful Autumn display board is now up! 🍁
We’ve created a lovely woodland-inspired Little Acorns scene, complete with our acorn numbers, autumn leaves, woodland friends and our Little Acorns house. 🐿️🌰🍂

It gives the children a wonderful visual reminder of our Autumn theme, while creating a warm and inviting space for stories, conversations and learning. 📚🍁

🎨 Autumn painting & printing – exploring all the beautiful colours of the season and using different objects to create prints.

🍂 Autumn playdough – using autumn-themed cutters, leaves and natural resources to create our own seasonal masterpieces.

🌰 Autumn sensory trays – filled with lentils, leaves, pine cones and other natural treasures, giving the children lots of opportunities to scoop, pour, touch, explore and investigate.

🍁 Our Autumn display board is also taking pride of place, helping to bring our seasonal theme to life and creating a lovely visual display for the children to enjoy. 🧡🐿️🍂

🌲🔥 And we’re also excited to be starting our Forest School sessions! 🌳 We’ll be spending time outdoors, connecting with nature, exploring our surroundings, developing confidence and independence, and of course having lots of fun along the way!

There’s something magical about Autumn 🍁 — crunchy leaves, conkers, pine cones, beautiful colours and lots of opportunities for little hands to learn through play. 🥰

🐷💗 Jellybeans Morning Session 💗🐷

It was lovely to be back at Jellybeans this morning! 🥰

The children enjoyed a lovely story about Wibbly Pig 🐷📖 and then got creative making their very own pig masks! 🎨🐽

They had lots of fun sticking, colouring and decorating their masks, showing off their creativity and imagination. ✂️🖍️✨

A lovely morning full of stories, creativity, fun and smiles! 💕🌈

🌿 Wild Toddlers Forest School Sessions at Richard Durning's! 🌿

We're excited to be hosting Neurosense Wild Learning's Wild Toddlers Forest School Sessions at Richard Durning's Primary School this autumn.

These fun, outdoor sessions are open to everyone, not just children from our school. If you have a toddler or know someone who does, please share!
