A huge well done to all of my GCSE pupils who have now completed their maths exams 👏 It's bittersweet for me though as I will really miss working with them but I can't wait to hear how they've got on when results day arrives. Enjoy your summer!

I always encourage my students to embrace their mistakes and see them as an opportunity to learn. So many children lose confidence when things are tricky, so we work on developing a growth mindset and finding strategies to learn from our marvellous mistakes!

This times table game went down very well with my Year 4 student last week. Name a square on your opponent's grid. If it's a question you must answer, but if it's a crocodile....you've lost a life. The first to find 3 crocodiles has lost! It's such a fun game to liven up times table practice, and can also be adapted for many other skills 😍

I love this quote and couldn't agree more. I love tutoring because I can find what works for each individual child and help them progress along their own learning path, enabling them to feel confident and enjoy learning, rather than constantly worrying about the next assessment 🥰

Not sure how I feel about being replaced by a robot! 🤔 Can AI really boost confidence and adapt minute by minute to a child's learning needs, etc? Computers can never replace the value of human interaction, nurture and support. Educational apps have their place but they can't ever replace quality teaching 🖥👩🏫😊

This is so important when it comes to revision especially. As the countdown to exam season begins I'll be sharing as many tips as I can to help you prepare. Note to self: I must also be consistent with my posts 😆 Sometimes I'm so busy with planning and teaching, as well as everyday life I forget to update my socials. Going to try harder this year!
