⏰ From 3:30pm

We’re looking for a local musician, singer, DJ, or band who could spare just 30–45 minutes to perform at our Summer Fair.

🎤 Live music would make a huge difference to the event and help us raise much-needed funds for our school.

Whether you’re a solo singer, acoustic performer, DJ, or part of a band, we’d love to hear from you!

As a thank you, we’ll provide:
🌭 Free BBQ food
🥤 Free drinks
😊 Lots of appreciation from our school community

Abbey Village Playground Update! 🛝🎠

I know lots of residents have been asking when work will start on the play area improvements, and I'm pleased to share that work is set to begin from 20 July!! 🎉🥳

The upgrade will include new accessible play equipment for children aged 1️⃣–1️⃣2️⃣, helping create a fun & inclusive space for local families to enjoy! 🛝🎠

The designs were created by feedback from residents, so thank you to everyone who shared their ideas! I know the Wheelton 1st Girlguides made some excellent ideas! 🙌

Work is expected to take around 4–6 weeks to complete, and I can't wait to see the finished result! What part do you think looks the coolest! Let me know!! I think the space net looks awesome personally! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

We’re looking for someone to help bring the atmosphere to our Summer Fair on 10th July at Abbey Village Primary School! ☀️🎉

🕞 Time: Anytime between 3:30pm – 6:00pm
🎧 We’d love:

* A DJ
* Live music
* Acoustic sets
* Singers or bands
(Anything from 30 minutes to an hour would be amazing!)

In return, we’ll provide free food and drinks throughout the event 🍔🥤

This is all to support our lovely village school and create a fantastic afternoon for the children and families in our community ❤️

💛 A Huge Thank You from Abbey Village Primary PTFA 💛

Thanks to the amazing support from our parents, carers, grandparents and local community, we have recently raised an incredible 💷 £1,028.93 through the Daffodil Doddle and Break the Rules Day!

These vital funds help us provide things such as:

🖥️ Interactive smart boards
🌳 Outdoor play & learning improvements

Every donation, event ticket, cake baked and hour volunteered makes a real difference to our children and our little school 🌈

🌼 Daffodil Doddle – We Need Your Help! 🌼
📅 8th March

Our Annual Daffodil Doddle & Roodlesworth Roller, organised by Mad Bull Events, is nearly here – and it’s one of our biggest fundraiser of the year for Abbey Village Primary School 🏫💛

This amazing event raises vital funds that help our little school buy things like laptops, classroom equipment, whiteboards and learning resources that make a real difference to our children.

👉 How you can help:
🍰 Homemade cake donations (including gluten-free / dairy-free / vegan if possible)
🙋 Volunteers to help on the day – even a short time makes a big difference!

Cakes can be sent into school or brought along on the morning of the run.

Every cake baked, every hour volunteered, and every bit of support helps our school thrive 🌈
