Break the Rules Day at School was full of laughter, surprises, and a little bit of chaos! Children turned up in trainers, wild hairstyles, temporary tattoos, and brightly painted nails. Some students took things even further—one cheeky group claimed Mr. B’s chair for the day, while another took the bold step of giving him a haircut 😱… all caught on camera! It was a day to remember where rules were bent, fun was had, and everyone shared a good giggle.

Today, we celebrated one of Heskin School’s most treasured traditions – the Waring Treat!

We celebrated another year of hard work and achievements from our amazing pupils. The afternoon continued with a tea party full of fun, laughter, and well-earned treats. 🏆🍬

We were also honoured to welcome Mr Waring as our special guest – thank you for joining us and helping us keep this 100+ year tradition going strong. 💚

Every Wednesday, Christine from Red Admiral Music Academy delivers fantastic brass lessons to our junior children — and this week, they had a very special opportunity to showcase their talents at a band festival held at Chorley Town Hall. We're so proud of our young musicians 🎺🎷

Using sequences of blocks to create an algorithm, Class 2 have created quiz questions on ScratchJr.

Today, our Year 6 children joined pupils from schools across the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education family for a very special leavers’ service at Chorley St George’s.

It was a joyful and moving occasion, filled with worship, reflection, and celebration—a meaningful way to mark the end of their primary school journey and look ahead to what’s next with hope and confidence.

Led by the inspiring Chip Kendall, the children sang their hearts out to powerful worship songs and were reminded of the difference they can make in the world with , , , and .

What a FANTASTIC night of swimming. It was an absolute pleasure watching our talented, loving children swim their hearts out and return with some seriously well-deserved silverware. 🏆

What a fantastic day at the Lancashire School Games Finals! 🎉

Eight of our wonderful pupils represented us with pride, tackling challenges in foot golf, orienteering and team building, alongside schools from all over the county.

We’re delighted to announce some brilliant results – our team secured an impressive 1st place in foot golf and an outstanding 3rd place in orienteering🥇🥉

A massive well done to all involved – you represented our school superbly! 👏

Yesterday, children in Years 4 & 5 travelled to Chorley Town Hall to participate in this year’s Lancashire Sings event. Heskin Pemberton’s performed as part of this county wide festival, with almost 4,000 children from Lancaster, Lytham, Preston and Burnley singing for their local community. Our children sang beautifully and were a credit to our school. Well done to all of our amazing performers

Grear work from our gardeners this week. They harvested our raddish and garlic, cleared the weeds, and planted some sweetcorn.
