🎤World podcast day🎤

Today the toddler children enjoyed making their own microphones using a variety of different materials. They explored their creativity by choosing from resources such as paper, tissue paper, foam stickers and glue. They experimented with different textures and colours which made every microphone unique. Through this activity the children have developed their fine motor skills, confidence and their imagination.

Over the last couple of weeks, our babies have really enjoyed exploring the sand tray! 🏖️

They’ve been using their fine and gross motor skills as they scoop, dig and fill the buckets using the spades and their little hands. We’ve also been introducing words such as “scoop” and “dig” during their play, helping to support their communication and language skills.

It’s been lovely watching them explore, get messy and have lots of fun learning through play! 🪣🤍

This month we have been looking at all about me, as part of this we have been having discussions about feelings and acceptable and unacceptable actions. This afternoon the pre school children took part in an activity to discuss what makes us happy and sad in nursery. The children came up with some good ideas including playing with all our friends to make us happy and hitting and not sharing to make us sad. This help us develop our personal,social and emotional skills. Well done pre school 😊😁.

Last week, we had lots of fun exploring gloop and dinosaurs! We got stuck into the messy sensory play and explored the different texture of the gloop using our hands. 🤲✨

We practised saying some exciting dinosaur words, including “stomp” and “roar!” 🦖👣🦕

We also sang “Stomp Little Dinosaurs”, stomping and roaring along together! 🎶🦖

It was a fantastic activity for exploring sensory textures, language, sounds and singing, while having lots of dinosaur-themed fun! 💚

Yesterday the Toddler children enjoyed developing their physical development by using their hand eye coordination to thread hoops onto a pipe cleaners. The children really enjoyed this activity and was really engaged throughout. 😊
