The Court at Buckshaw Retirement Village

Thank you to 'Young At Heart' for a lovely Wednesday morning. The residents loved the "enhance the life you live" presentation. Young at Heart specialise in delivering personalised comfort solutions to individuals' home, offering a wide range of products from Rise & Recline chairs to scooters and pillows. Here are some of our residents with their newest purchases.

It was lovely to see so many residents dress up for the Black-Tie Event Night at The Court Bistro. These are some of our favourite pictures from the evening.

The 'Black Tie' Event Night was a great success at the Court Bistro. The complementary prosecco went down a treat. Food favourites included the Duck Breast and Seafood Fruit De Mer

The recent Cocktail Night at the Court was a definite hit! Residents enjoyed cocktails such as a "Berry Mojito" and "S*x On The Beach" . The refreshments also went down a treat!

Greek Night at the Court Bistro was a great success. A highlight of the evening was the Greek inspired quiz, with the winner taking home Greek inspired bookmarks and Greek tea towels. A resident favourite was the Lamb Kleftiko with roasted pepper couscous, stem broccoli and baby carrots. We look forward to the next themed event night!

An evening filled with snacks and magic at The Court Bistro. Thank you to John Parry for putting on a spectacular performance . We can't wait for his return !

Amy singing on Friday was a huge hit with everyone, and the popcorn and snacks were a definite crowd pleaser too. We are all looking forward to her next appearance!🎤

"Mexican Night" at the Court Bistro was a big success. The menu included Stuffed Peppers and a Mexican Mixed Grill. A favourite was the Cajun and Salmon Salt Cod, followed by a delightful Choco Flan for dessert. The evening ended with a quiz, with the winners taking home a box of cupcakes. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next event night!

It was lovely to see residents attend the "Under The Sea" themed event night at the Court. The evening featured an ocean-inspired menu; with dishes ranging from crab and prawn fishcakes to calamari with a smoked salmon terrine. Finishing the dinner service with an "Under the Sea" themed Quiz.

This May, In recognition of "Mental Health Awareness Month" we organised a coffee morning at the Court . A big thankyou to all those that attended. We are pleased to say, in total £140 was raised for Mind Chairty. Thank you again to all those who came and everyone who donated.
