We love celebrating everything our students achieve in school, but it's equally rewarding to hear about their successes beyond the classroom.

Our Oxton Lacrosse players are the epitome of making the most of every opportunity and pathway available to them. Here are the prize winners from the club's recent awards evening.

On Monday night, hosted their annual awards night. Moreton Hall Lacrosse players came away with a plethora of awards after an outstanding season representing the club. A special mention to Alexa and Lizzie who were named Young Player of the Year, and Player of the Year respectively.

🥈 2nd in the LTA Division 1

Huge congratulations to our Year 9/10 team on a brilliant win against Shrewsbury School on Wednesday. This stellar performance secures Moreton Hall as 2nd place in the LTA Division 1 competition! Incredibly proud of everyone's hard work. Well done, team! 🎾👏

Wow!!! What a massive, action-packed Tuesday for our incredible Year 7 and Year 8 girls! 🎾🏃‍♀️🏏

The fixtures were flying thick and fast this afternoon:
Tennis: LTA matches V Thomas Telford (H) & friendly matches V King's Chester (H)
Athletics: Squads out practicing hard for a busy week of meets tomorrow and Friday
Cricket: 2 softball teams hitting it out of the park V Ellesmere College (A)

And the absolute best part? No rain!! ☀️🙌

A massive well done to our super Remove and Lower 4s for a brilliant afternoon of sport and teamwork. You smashed it! 🥰👏

🏆 Athletics Success! 🏆

Showcasing their throwing, jumping and sprinting talents, our Prep pupils had a fantastic day commpeting! A total of 17 schools gathered at Queensway for an exciting day of competition. From start to finish, the standard was incredibly high, with every child competing against the top athletes from the other schools.

A special mention goes to:

Lilly in Year 3 – Winner of the 50m sprint
Anna in Year 4 – Winner of the 600m race
Peter in Year 5 – Winner of the Standing Vertical Jump
Ella in Year 5 – Winner of the Standing Vertical Jump

Athletics is very much a team sport, and congratulations must also go to our Year 3 and Year 4 teams, who achieved an excellent 3rd place overall.

The biggest celebration of all is that Moreton Hall won the Small Schools Team Event, a fantastic achievement that reflects the hard work, determination and teamwork shown by every pupil who took part.

Mrs Evans is a very happy teacher right now! Well done to everyone involved – you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. 💙

🎾 Rain or shine, the game goes on! 🌧️💪

​Nothing could stop this incredible group of keen tennis players a few Saturdays ago. We had a morning absolutely packed with fierce competition, great banter, amazing shots, terrible shots (we’ve all been there! 😉), and an all-around fantastic atmosphere.

​It was amazing to see such a diverse mix of doubles pairings, with students teaming up with their mums, dads, grannies, and our school staff. It turned out to be a nail-bitingly close fight for 1st place, but a massive congratulations goes to Mr Quantrell and Eva for taking home the winning title! 🏆🎉

​Well done to everyone who came out, braved the weather, and made it such a memorable morning. You all rocked it!

🏇 Good luck to our Moreton riders! 🏇

Penelope, Elizabeth and Mila from Lower Five, along with Aria from Year 5, are heading to the NSEA Hickstead Eventers Challenge this weekend, competing in classes ranging from 70cm to 105cm.

All four girls have done brilliantly to qualify for this national championship, and they should be incredibly proud of their achievement.

With temperatures set to soar, it promises to be a busy and exciting few days, but the girls are ready for the challenge and delighted to be representing Moreton once again at Hickstead.

We wish them all the very best of luck!
