National Baby-Led Weaning Day 💛

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.

🎶🤸‍♂️ Jabadao Fun🌟

Last week during Jabadao, our pre-schoolers were busy jumping, rolling and twisting, exploring movement in so many fun ways!

The children loved noticing how their bodies landed and seeing the ways their arms and legs flung to the side. One child even described it as “wobbly” Such a great way to put words to movement!

Jabadao is always full of energy, discovery and fun, helping children develop coordination, body awareness and confidence. ✨

🚶‍♀️🌿 Exploring Our Local Area🚆

Last week we enjoyed a walk through our lovely local area to look at the train tracks through the railings. Unfortunately we didn’t spot a train this time, but the children loved talking about the tracks and sharing their own experiences of seeing trains or travelling on one before.

Our walks are always a lovely opportunity to explore the world around us, spark conversations and build on the children’s knowledge and experiences. They’re also a great way to practise staying safe while out and about, helping the children understand how to walk safely together in our community.

We feel so lucky to have such a beautiful and interesting area to explore together. 🌳✨

🧘‍♀️🌿 Infant Yoga at Nära Charlbury ☀️🩵

Our babies have been enjoying the gentle practice of yoga, proving you’re never too young to start exploring movement.

Through simple stretches and fun poses, our little ones are developing flexibility, body awareness and confidence in a calm, relaxed environment. Yoga also helps them feel comfortable in their surroundings while encouraging moments of peaceful connection together.

It’s always so heartwarming to watch them stretch, move and relax during this soothing activity. ✨

🎶 Jabadao at Nära Charlbury 🎶

Our little ones always have a wonderful time during their Jabadao sessions!

They love using the foam cylinders to make music, exploring different sounds and rhythms while expressing themselves in joyful ways. Sessions like these give babies the chance to move, listen, experiment and discover music together.

It’s always a delight to see them connecting with each other through music, movement and play. ✨

🌈 Baby Room Fun🪟

Last week our little ones had a lovely time creating their own stained-glass windows. Using glue and colourful materials, each baby made a unique piece of artwork.

It’s been wonderful to see their creativity shining through, especially when the sunshine streams through the windows and lights up their beautiful creations! ✨

A simple activity, but a magical moment for our babies to explore colours, textures and creativity.
