Year 5 launched their brand-new topic with a fantastic hands-on workshop from Oxfordshire Museum today!

The children stepped back in time and discovered what life was like in an Anglo-Saxon village. Learning about jobs, village life, clothing and where villages were built.

They also got creative making clay pots, weaving wool, creating braids and decorating their pots with antler stamps! 🧶🏺

🌿🏆 Moreton Show Garden Success! 🏆🌿

Earlier this year, we entered the School Garden section of Moreton Show and in July we welcomed three judges into school to show them our garden journey.

We took them around the different areas of our school grounds, including our pond, sensory garden, composting area and our beautiful trees at the bottom of the field, which will provide a special calm space for our children 🌳💚

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we won! 🎉🏆

Today, Mrs Dunn and Miss Wakefield attended Moreton Show to receive our certificate and prize money, which will be invested straight back into developing our gardens.

And even more excitingly… we have won for TWO YEARS IN A ROW! 🥳🏆🏆

A huge thank you to Mrs Dunn, who helps care for and develop our wonderful school gardens. They are such a special part of our school and a fantastic learning space for our children. 💚🌱
