Wiltshire Portage Wiltshire Achieving through play

Wiltshire Portage offers a free home visiting education service for children from birth to school entry who have special educational needs, developmental delays and/or disabilities. There are 3 principles of Portage:
1) Child led play
2) Structured teaching
3) Family support

The service is currently provided to over 100 families across Wiltshire (excluding Swindon) during school term time, and is based on the principle that parents are the key figure in the care and development of their child.
