The EMAP British Open Championships are back in November!

Saturday 14 November we return to Thornbury 🥳

Whether you’re a first-time competitor or you’ve done this a dozen times before, it’s a brilliant day — the atmosphere, the standard, the chance to test what you’ve been working on against people outside the usual training group.

Grading in September?

Here are three things we tell every student before they step up on the day.

1️⃣ Your nerves are normal. Everyone in that room has felt them, including your instructors back when it was their turn.

2️⃣ We wouldn’t put you forward if we didn’t think you were ready.

3️⃣ Enjoy it! Gradings are a big part of your martial arts journey, and you should celebrate the milestones.

If there is anything you need to practice to get ready for September just ask 😊

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the recent black belt pre-grading!

Even with the extra obstacle of it being quite a warm day everyone did their best and showed their determination 👊

The full grading is next in November for some, so let the countdown begin! 😏
