⚽💃 SPORTS WEEK💃⚽

We have had loads of fun so far in our Sports Themed week.

⚽FOOTBALL⚽

We took a football up the park and practiced our turn taking by kicking, pushing, rolling the ball back and forth to eachother. We had great fun... We even experienced the 'ball in the hedge' dig out (seasoned football mums and dads will know it well!) I'll give you 2 guesses who had to climb in and get it!! 🙄

💃 DANCING 💃

This morning we moved our whole bodies to nursery rhymes at home, before heading to Cha Cha Chimps for more singing and dancing fun!

🌞 Sunshine 🌞 and 🐐 Animals 🐐

Continuing our animal theme this week, we took a trip to Bucks Goat Centre this morning. Stay waaaaayyyy longer than we intended, but everyone was having so much fun!

Bucks Goat Centre offer a great incentive for Childminders, all their children get to entre FOC. 👍👍

We had a fab time with 2 fellow minders from the village and some faces we haven't seen in while 🥰

❤️WHAT A MORNING ❤️

We had a very busy morning this morning. We did the school run this morning at 8:30am and I know if we go back home we just won't come back out again! Anyone else like this?


What we have done:

🌱ALLOTMENT🌱

I wanted to nip past the allotment this morning. Something had been getting at our 🥕 over the weekend, so I wanted to make sure their wasn't anymore damage that had happened over night last night! There wasn't! But we did find our courgette we really coming on!

We had a little wander around, looking at what had grown bigger and discussing which "weeds" we wanted to pull out and which ones we wanted to leave for the bees and butterflies.

📚LIBRARY📚

We are trying to focus some time on animals and their babies this week. So I thought a good place to start was the library, to pick out some useful references to dot around the house.

We didn't just focus on animal books (though these were the only ones I borrowed). By focusing solely on the subject I WANT to teach, I am more likely to lose their interest. So for each book I pick out to do with animals, I made sure to take time to read and explore the books the littles were bringing to me too. We had Astronauts, Peppa pig, and gruffalo. But it meant that they also paid attention to the books I picked.

🛴STAY AND PLAY🛴

This is a local group run by The Red Kite Centre.

Starting at 10am, behind the library in Chinnor, they provide toast as a snack and the children have inside and outside spaces to explore. They then do a bit of singing at the end, which the kids love.

All ages welcome, 0- preschool I believe.

🎇🪅CHINESE NEW YEAR 🪅🎇

To celebrate Chinese New year we painted pictures to create lanterns and explored our senses with Rice and Noodles. We even had a go with Chop Sticks!

Lovely trip out to St Andrews Church this morning to see the beautiful windows.

We explored colours & light, read stories and sang songs, before heading back to HQ to build our own stain glass windows 🥰
