🌿✨ Year 6 Forest School – Creating Lasting Memories ✨🌿

Our fantastic Year 6 children spent time in Forest School last week getting creative and reflective as they designed and made their very own leavers’ flags. πŸ•οΈπŸŽ¨

Each flag tells a story and captures special memories from their time at school. From friendships and achievements to favourite moments, it was a wonderful opportunity for the children to celebrate their journey together. πŸ’›

What a lovely way to mark the end of their primary school chapter!

🐝 World Bee Day – 20 May 🐝

Our Reception children have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Bee Day and learning all about bees and why they are so important. 🌼
The children showed fantastic curiosity and inquisitive minds, exploring their understanding of the world through a range of creative activities. They made hives and bees using playdough, wrote interesting facts about bees, and designed thoughtful β€œSave the Bees” posters. 🐝✨

We are so proud of their enthusiasm and creativity as they learned about caring for our environment! πŸŒπŸ’›

🌿🐞 Forest School Adventures – Mini Beast Homes! 🐜🌳

This week at Forest School Club, our young explorers became mini beast protectors! πŸ›πŸ’š We spent time searching for tiny creatures around our outdoor space. The children showed such kindness and curiosity as they discovered a variety of mini beasts, from wriggly worms to busy beetles. πŸŒΌπŸ”

We talked about why these creatures are so important to our environment and how we can look after them. The highlight of the session was creating cosy homes for our new little friends to shelter in. πŸ‘πŸƒ

It was wonderful to see teamwork, creativity, and respect for nature in action. We’re so proud of how thoughtful the children were, always remembering to handle creatures gently and return them safely to their homes. 🌍✨

We can’t wait to see what discoveries next week brings! πŸŒ³πŸ’«

🌞 Outdoor learning in the sunshine! πŸŒΌπŸƒ

Our nursery children have been making the most of the lovely weather by heading outside for some creative play. Using water, flowers and grass, they enjoyed making their own imaginative soups and potions before pretending to serve them to their friends.

It was brilliant to see such creativity in their play, and also to see them using their communication and social skills to share ideas and take turns. β˜€οΈ

We love seeing the children’s imaginations come to life during outdoor learning! πŸ’™

⭐ Reception have been very busy today! ⭐

After discovering that Goldilocks had broken into their classroom, the children were full of excitement and ideas. They did a fabulous job writing simple sentences about what they found, showing wonderful effort and growing confidence with their writing.

We are so proud of how hard they worked and how enthusiastic they were – what super writers we have! βœοΈπŸ“–βœ¨Well done, Reception! πŸ‘πŸ’›
