Some of you have been asking about wearing Comic Relief merchandise tomorrow to support this charity. As a school, we are fundraising next Friday , with our Easter bunny dash, to raise funds for this cause, however if your child wants to wear something to also celebrate this tomorrow, then that is fine. It is NOT a non uniform day, though.

Update :
In regards to the email sent earlier about the potential safeguarding issue, I’d like to clarify a few things. Firstly, no stranger was on our site, at any point. Some year 6 children who were using the golden mile track noticed a man they believed to be filming the school field. They sensibly alerted staff, who took those children - and all other children on the track-to the playground area, gathered a description from them, brought that to me and we rang 999 immediately. At no point was any child in immediate danger. The police were intending to patrol the area when possible. It has, however, come to my attention since that a school in Dorchester this morning also have reported a potential stranger acting suspiciously in roads surrounding a school, so it is in all our best interests to be vigilant and encourage our children to be safe, sensible and aware of their surroundings at all times. Rest assured we take our duty of care for your children very seriously and have clear protocols in place for issues such as this.
