Thank you to The Friends of Compton and Up Marden CE School for their huge contribution and support.
Our food project made it into Parliament! ✨
Thank you everyone for your continued support from launching in October last year, and as it improves as we introduce new dishes and food education.
Big thank you to Ellie Hughes - we couldn’t ask for a better chef, cooking delicious food for our kids. The chicken curry is so tasty - I hope you get to try it next year!
And a special thank you to Bella whose baby this is and without her time and effort behind the scenes this wouldn’t have happened.
The ‘friends’ funded the kitchen renovation, buying *actual* ovens so we could get rid of the microwaves.
A massive reminder of the pivotal role the Friends’ fundraising plays in providing essential kit for the school and all our kids.
🌟 Massive team effort. 🌟

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER
And just like that, the 2025/26 school year comes to a close.
Thank you all so much for your thoughtful cards, wonderful gifts, and beautiful flowers. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated.
Although we have a staff training day tomorrow, we couldn't let Miss Harris leave to become Mrs Jack without a fitting surprise wedding arch at the end of the school day.
To those returning to us in September, and to those joining us for the first time, we can't wait to see you and hear all about your summer adventures!
With fond farewells to our departing Yr 6 pupils, all of us at Compton and Up Marden CE School wish every one of our families a happy and safe summer break.

Today we said goodbye to our Year 6 Leaver’s. A beautiful service in St Mary’s Church, Compton with the children telling us of their best memories of time spent at Compton.
Thank you to The Friends of St Michael’s Church at Up Marden for gifting the Bibles to our Leaver’s.
The Friends of Compton and Up Marden continued their annual tradition of giving each pupil a lovely named water bottle.
A treat followed in the Village Shop and Tearooms with ice cream, cake and drinks!
The Kindness Cup, Courage Cup and Sports trophy were awarded to Mel, Dylan and Jess.
Congratulations to you on your achievements.
💦 Splash, soak, and smiles all around! 💦
Our KS2 children had an awesome afternoon enjoying our annual water fight! There was plenty of laughter, lots of friendly competition, and everyone got involved.
The grand finale saw Year 6 take on Mr Cain, Mr Christmas, and Miss Burton in an epic water stand-off… we’re still debating who won! 😄☀️
A brilliant afternoon making memories together! 💙

🏴💔🏴💔🏴
Although last night's result wasn't what we'd hoped for, we're still very proud of the England football team and we've loved watching their successes!
Their teamwork, dedication, and energy have been a great inspiration to our pupils and staff, and have reminded us of our ethos:
Excite. Engage. Include.
The games have definitely been exciting and engaging (and sometimes watched from behind our hands!) and seeing the fans and players from around the world has been a brilliant show of inclusivity.
Despite our broken hearts today, we still showed our support and had great fun organising ourselves on the school field! Followed up with a cake and a flag, it was a lovely way to include everyone.
Now we all look ahead to Saturday and hopefully finishing in third place... 🥉
Come on England!
