Unfortunately we are no longer able to host parties, school holiday events or Forest School sessions at Hunston Forest Centre. A planning application for change of use of the site to include Forest School activities was refused after many objections were submitted by the local community who feared the woodland was being destroyed and exploited. As a result the owner had no choice but to close down the woodland . We considered ourselves guardians and conservators of the woods and are devastated to no longer be able to use them to educate local children, provide respite for children with special needs and children referred out of mainstream education, hold any school holiday events or family gatherings.


We are extremely proud of what we achieved at Hunston Copse over the last four years and know that many many children have created precious memories, made new friends, had exciting experiences and adventures and maybe most importantly for the future of our woodlands have discovered a love of nature and being outside. We love the woodland very much and will miss it greatly.

Have a break from your little darlings and get them out into the freedom of the woods at Hunston Forest. 10am-2pm. £25. Age 5 and over.
