That’s a wrap for school year 2025-26 as tomorrow is an INSET day.

Today was filled with so much love! We are going to miss our year sixes very much but we know you are ready for high school and we can’t wait to see what you get up to. Keep in touch!

We had a brilliant day celebrating everyone’s successes across the school; what a year of growth, friendship and brilliant learning.

Today was a very important day for our year 6 leavers - the water fight!!! After school, children took to the field with their gigantic water pistols and battle began. Lots of fun was had, and delicious BBQ burgers were enjoyed. Not a dry piece of clothing in sight within 5 minutes 😂.

We’re really going to miss you all, bringing so much joy to our school.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Platinum Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.

With so many children from the school competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those
young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

Apple class have been exploring their senses this week in science. They had lots of fun playing various games and challenges to see if they could guess sounds, smells and touches. They tested their sight (and memory) with the tray game and really enjoyed eating lemons and sultanas to compare sweet and sour tastes.

We welcomed Jake Bowers back to Chidham to install his beautiful new art sculpture ‘Mother Earth’ on Friday. This special piece of artwork has been created with contributions from our children through their blacksmithing experience, and she’ll live in our nature garden for years to come.

What a brilliant night at our summer disco! We took it outside tonight for some festival vibes and it was great fun. Absolute bangers from DJ Jack for us to dance to- thank you so much!! And ice pops to cool us down too 🎉👌 what a night!

Key stage one children had a wonderful yoga session yesterday with Emma from Emma Callow - Yoga Instructor and Nutritional Therapist . The children loved trying all the different poses and really relaxed at the end of the session. Thanks so much Emma!
