Enjoying one of our nurseries favourite books on our new giant cushions purchased from last years fundraiser!

Whales on the Bus is often one of the first books our children learn to read to themselves. It is loved by babies all the way up to preschoolers. Our babies learn to join in with and predict actions or sounds and older children learn phrases and begin to recall the whole story. Children love to spot the different parts of the pictures and predict what is going to happen on the next page. It is loved by children on their own, with an adult and in group time. It helps children to develop listening and language skills and enjoy shared experiences with adults and peers.

Having a space for this kind of play based learning is so important. Thank you to everyone that contributed to last years fundraiser as we don't always have the spare money to purchase these types of things otherwise.

First day at holiday club; following the children’s lead, the physical activity of choice was hula hoops and skipping ropes. They challenged each other to see who could do the most skips in one go or who could do different things with the hoops. With practice they even began to learn new skills!

We are looking for some help at our summer holiday club!

If anyone is struggling to afford school uniform - the Chichester Family Hub on St James Road have rail where you can take second handed clothes that you may need. If you have uniform items that you no longer need them please donate to them so they can be used again!
