Just back from 🇫🇷🏔🚴

What an epic ride! 177km, 5000m of beastly climbs, amazing views and some scary descending 😬.

Went strong for first 100 miles 💪. Climbed well over the Glandon, Telegraph and Galibier and then got to Alpe d’Huez where it was 35 degrees 🥵…13km to go and 1000m more of climbing!

That’s when the fun started and the heat stroke kicked in! Nursed my way up with severe cramps, the shakes, disorientation, pins and needles in both arms, back ache and my feet on 🔥. Gotta love a bike ride!! 😂.

Big respect to everyone there..you are all my hero’s 🤩. The pro’s that do it for a living are superhuman! 👏

Official time: 8hrs 49mins.
Position: 1402/4800 riders
Age Cat M40: 402/1410 👴🏻😂

Was it worth it? Every minute 😉

🤩⛰Not the best camera work but you get the picture! The Alpes in summer are just awesome…cycling, walking, sunbathing or wine tasting…whatever your thing, there’s something to enjoy here👌.
