A MAGICAL NUTCRACKER BALLET EXPERIENCE

Saturday 12th December | Chichester City Arts Centre

Step into the magical world of The Nutcracker this Christmas!

We are delighted to invite our young dancers to a very special festive ballet workshop, inspired by Tchaikovskyā€™s much-loved Christmas classic.

Open to everyone, our dancers are warmly encouraged to invite a friend of a similar age to share in the magic!

During this enchanting workshop, children will:

* Learn repertoire from the famous Party Scene from The Nutcracker.
* Enjoy a special performance by our very own Sugar Plum Fairy.
* Create their own Christmas ornament to take home and treasure.

To finish, our young dancers will perform for their families in a relaxed setting sharing everything they have learnt during their magical experience.

I am so incredibly proud of all our dancers who took part in the !
Whether our pupils aspire to pursue a career in dance or simply dance for the love of it, I hope everyone came away feeling they had improved, gained confidence and enjoyed the experience.
I was particularly impressed by the adjudicatorsā€™ encouraging feedback and constructive, helpful critiques, giving our dancers plenty to take away and work on.
We also had some brilliant results!
Classical Group Over 15 ā€“ 2nd Place
Classical Solo Over 15 ā€“ 2nd, 3rd and 4th Place, with all three RBA girls placing!

A huge congratulations to Fiona Johnston, who got married over the summer holidays!

Some of our students were lucky enough to join her at the church for her special day. Donā€™t they all look beautiful - especially Miss Fiona!

We are all so incredibly happy for you and wish you and your new husband a lifetime of happiness togetheršŸ’

Every dancer only gets ONE today was Emiliaā€™s!

She had her very first parent & toddler ballet class today and absolutely loved it. It was so lovely to experience the class as a parent rather than a teacher and enjoy that precious time with her.

A huge thank you to her new teacher, Miss Amy at Amy Williams, for making her first class so lovely. We canā€™t wait for next week!

A HUGE congratulations to three incredibly talented dancers who have all successfully achieved their RAD Advanced Foundation qualification with very high marks!

Advanced Foundation is recognised at A-Level standard, with successful candidates also gaining UCAS points that can be used alongside their academic qualifications when applying to university.

For students studying A-Levels, taking RAD examinations alongside their academic studies can be a fantastic way to build their UCAS points and, importantly, give them more options when it comes to choosing their university and future pathway.

We are incredibly proud of you all ā€” WELL DONE!

Emilia is ready for her with Amy Williams, taking part in their Fairy Footsteps ā€˜Grown Up & Meā€™ class.

Emilia is still a little too young for our pre-school classes, which start from age 2.5, so it will be lovely to experience ballet with her as a mum rather than as her teacher.

I know sheā€™ll be in very good hands with fellow Royal Academy of Dance qualified teacher, Miss Amy.

Do you remember your first ballet class? If you do, weā€™d love to see a photo! Tag us in your memories.
