The Little Blue Door started from the belief that children learn and grow in an environment that feels like a home from home; a place that is friendly, warm and welcoming and somewhere that you neither want to leave nor wait to get back to. I grew up in the Downs and know many of the families in Chichester, as well as the surrounding areas and so all of this inspired me to celebrate this local fee

l in a boutique setting. I am dedicated to making positive change and have spent all of my adult life working towards opening my own nursery to share my commitment and passion. For me, every child deserves the best start in life and these first important years are vital for building the foundations for a positive future and further education. So now, what gets me out of bed is the chance to see our children’s smiling faces as they arrive happy first thing in the morning until their tired, but content faces wave goodbye at the end of the day. At The Little Blue Door, we believe and know that learning has to be fun, creating many memorable moments for our children and setting them up for a future where they are excited about new challenges and opportunities. To make it work, I wanted to build a team of people around me who will truly live these same values and help me to foster this culture of love for the children. I believe passionately in attracting, developing and retaining the best people to be part of the Little Blue Door and I have an ever-growing team who are very much a part of building the future of our setting. We not only value our team but our parents too, by putting a lot of thought into how we can make the chance for their children to have a great start in life, as easy as possible. This includes flexibility and long hours, extra support, online learning journals and face-to-face progress reviews. For the children, it’s home cooked meals, plenty of open and outdoor space and the best in learning opportunities. Our boutique setting isn’t only about a light and pleasant home to spend time in, but also about working with the experts to bring the best of interactive play to The Little Blue Door, to compliment the fun that can be created through imagination. The Little Blue Door is fully Ofsted accredited and our team has a combined experience of over 70 years. Nestled on the outskirts of the city and always ready to welcome new faces to our family, we look forward to welcoming you.

It was so special welcoming our siblings into Little Blue Door to come and play, explore and see all the fun we get up to each day.

What a lovely way to celebrate our Blazing Stars school leavers - Class of 2026! 🎓✨

It was so special to share this memorable day with all of our wonderful families and to look back on everything the children have achieved during their time at Little Blue Door.

Watching them graduate was such an emotional moment. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll go on to do. 💙⭐️

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Summer Fete and helped make it such a fantastic day! 💙

Thanks to your incredible support, we raised an amazing £3,104.75! 🎉 From the bouncy castle and face painting to games, tombolas, the Gruffalo and farm animals, it was a day full of fun and smiles.

We’re delighted to be donating some of the money raised to charity, with the rest helping us continue to provide amazing experiences for our children.

Thank you for your support – we couldn’t have done it without you! 💙

Last night the Little Blue Door team got together for an evening of learning, laughter and lots of lovely ideas 💙

We talked through important updates around safeguarding, SEN and safer sleep, helping us continue to provide the very best care and support for our children.

The team also had fun practicing how to plan “in the moment” activities, creating exciting play ideas inspired by children’s interests and curiosity.

A great evening of teamwork and creativity that will continue to enhance our practice and make learning even more magical for the children ✨
