CFS Chichester

Pupils, parents and staff gathered at CFS today to celebrate the GCSE achievements of the Class of 2026. There were smiles, celebrations and emotional reunions as pupils collected the results they have been working towards throughout their secondary education.
Today's results reflect the commitment and determination shown by this year's cohort. Every pupil has followed their own journey, and their achievements have opened the door to a wide range of exciting opportunities as they prepare for the next stage of education, training or employment.
Executive Principal, Mr Garner, said:
"GCSE Results Day is always a special occasion because it recognises the dedication our pupils have shown over many years. We are delighted to celebrate their successes today and are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. These results reflect not only academic effort but also the resilience, maturity and character they have developed during their time at CFS. We congratulate every pupil and thank our staff and families for the invaluable support they have provided throughout the journey."
Pupils achieved strong outcomes across many subjects, with notable successes in English, Mathematics, PE, Media Studies, Science and Religious Studies. These results demonstrate the value of a broad curriculum and the commitment shown by pupils across all areas of school life. This year also marks CFS's best year ever for the number of pupils achieving a grade 5 or higher in English and Maths.
Head of Secondary, Mr Phillips, commented:
"Watching our pupils collect their results today has been incredibly rewarding. Behind every set of grades is a story of hard work, perseverance and personal growth. I have seen this year group overcome challenges, support one another and continue striving to achieve their goals. I am so proud of every single one of them and wish them every success in whatever comes next."
Several pupils achieved particularly impressive academic results, including Devon Stevens, Isla Harley, Harvey Ayling, Cooper Barkey, Mya Dunning, Felix Garlic, Thomas Knight, Fergus Miller and Isla Bailey; while many pupils such as Oakley Sullivan, Joe Cox and Olive Pascoe deserve a special recognition for the outstanding progress made during their time at CFS.
The entire CFS community congratulates the Class of 2026 and wishes them every success for the future.

What a fantastic term it’s been at CFS!

From the Year 11 Prom and Prize Giving to our Primary and Secondary Sports Days, celebration trips, Primary Taskmaster Day, and so many other memorable moments, it’s been an incredible few months filled with achievement, laughter, and lasting memories.

A huge congratulations to every student who received an award at our Prizegiving events, whether during assemblies yesterday and today or at our evening event last night. Your hard work, dedication, perseverance, and achievements have truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of you.

To all our students, whether you received an award or not, keep striving for excellence and never stop believing in your potential.

Thank you to our staff, parents, and supporters for your encouragement and commitment throughout the year. Together, we celebrate not only academic success but also progress, resilience, and kindness.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made the event such a fantastic day! To everyone who helped run stalls, played games, spent their pocket money, enjoyed a beer or Pimms, tucked into burgers and hot dogs, and most importantly had a brilliant time — you were all amazing!

In addition, the generosity, kindness and support of local businesses helped make the event a wonderful success. We were able to create a fun community event while raising valuable and much needed funds to support our school.

We're absolutely thrilled to say we've raised over £5,000... which is incredible and beyond fantastic!

Arriving at The University of Chichester this week, the CFS Year 7 fab four split themselves into two teams for the first moots. The first two pitched CFS against Bishop Luffa. The girls went first, with Inayah and Ella tasked with arguing that "This house believes that young people should have greater involvement in making the laws that affect them." The girls argued valiantly for more autonomy and trust for young people. Then, Miles and Ted tackled the topic "This house believes that animals should have the same legal protections as humans against unnecessary suffering." Facing off against the second Luffa team, the boys held their own to argue for the rights of livestock to be able to live happy, healthy lives.

After a break - and watching the other teams argue several interesting topics extremely well - our teams decided to mix things up to face Windlesham House. This time, Ted and Inayah were given the challenging task of arguing against the idea that "This house believes that telling the truth is more important than protecting someone's feelings." An excellent performance was given by both; more confident this time round than they had been before. Lastly, Ella and Miles were faced with rebutting possibly the most challenging topic yet: "This house believes that people should always put the needs of society before their own interests." They thoughtfully put across several excellent points, leaving the opponents with little to offer in response!

Whilst CFS were not the overall victors - that honour went to the very well-deserving Oscar Romero team - all four year 7 pupils represented the school with dignity and pride. They were fabulous ambassadors and showcased the results of their fantastic previous experience at the All Rise workshops earlier this year.
