Last week, this girl gave me this piece of paper and I saw all these words in Spanish and English. She explained to me she was practising Spanish at home and she remembered all these words from the entire year learning Spanish with us. This girl has been in the Spanish Club from the beginning and she is SO compromise with the idea of learning a second language. Isn’t this amazing? 🥹She is 8 years old and she can write, read and say all these words in Spanish.
I love this and I wanted to share it because THIS is everything:

We’re almost finishing our first part of the summer term! All our Spanish Clubs are learning and enjoying about animals!
We really enjoyed this activity and saw how much they learned with words search and matching worksheets. Those future Spanish speakers are marvellous! 🌟

Nothing more sweet than seen KS1 kids learning Spanish. They’re young and that’s great!!!
The earlier you start teaching kids Spanish, the better. Ideally, you should start teaching them before they turn six years old, as this is the age when their brains are most receptive to learning a second language. 💪🏽

Look a these lovely children! We’re so happy with our bilingual club in Brighton! ⭐️ Our wonderful tutor, Marina, is doing a great job with those kids who are already bilingual at home. º She is a master chef adventurer! She loves to cook and can whip up a delicious meal faster than you can say yum 🤤

We are (almost) back. But not yet… 😜
We are planning and finishing all our sessions for the new term this week! We have new vocabulary and new material. So we are SO excited!
During this first term, we will learn so much animal vocabulary because we LOVE animals; and who doesn't like a trip to the farm?
All materials are included! Your child will learn Spanish fun and interactively through engaging games, crafts, activity sheets, and music. Our classes are designed to promote natural Spanish learning and enhance confidence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, with a variety of themed topics to make learning exciting and enjoyable.

Today we want to introduce you to our fabulous Spanish tutor, Marina. She runs two clubs in Brighton and we love how sweet she is!
She is from Spain and she’s been living in Brighton for 20 years.
She works in a nursery and has a creative background as a fashion illustrator.
Marina’s favourite colour is red.

We are delighted to announce our summer term collaboration with these two new schools: Southbourne Infant School and The Solent Schools. Yeah! More Spanish vibes for those kids that join our After School Club once a week! They will learn the basic Spanish vocabulary and learn through games, music and good vibes. Our idea is to inspire them to see the Spanish language as something positive.

Who are we?
We want to show you a little bit more about the people who are collaborating with us in all the different Spanish Clubs. For this reason, we want to introduce a little bit about them in the upcoming weeks. Let’s start with Mariana, the owner and director of Mariposa Languages. If you know her, send love to her!
She is originally from Venezuela, Colombia and Spain. Yes, yes, she always says: “I was lucky to discover part of the world in my early years” As a native Spanish teacher, she loves supporting schools in their collective job of embracing these little brilliant minds to discover how big and amazing the world around us is.
“My professional and personal experience has shown me the importance of education and the positive acceptance of different cultures from an early stage in life. For this reason, in all our Spanish classes we are offering a global vision programme which includes a weekly session with native teachers and a real connection with Spanish-speaking countries. We will teach Spanish together and connect with Hispanic cultures from every UK-based classroom”.
She loves dogs, her favourite colour is yellow and she is obsessed with food. You can follow her personal account here: where she cooks her favourite Spanish and South American dishes and speaks a lot in Spanish.
One more week. Well done to all our Spanish tutors who are doing their best teaching in all our Spanish Clubs around Portsmouth, Brighton, London, Emsworth and Chichester.
This week we taught about Mi Fruta / Verdura Favorita es…. It was a success to hear children say a whole sentence and also to hear all their favourite things. A never-ending list.

The power of playing. Oh, oh, sí. There is a spark every time we say let’s play a game in Spanish! We want the children to see how flexible and transversal a language could be. Spanish is an amazing language and they can use it for everything. Not just in the classroom. Memory Game in Spanish? ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA.

We are currently based in more than 12 schools around Hampshire, Sussex and London. We taught more than 300 children from 0 to 11 years old last year. We inspired them to learn a new language! We have developed tailored classes for different ages. We have both KS1 and KS2 programmes to support UK Primary Schools and teachers in their efforts to create a competent MFL programme for their pupils during the school day.
