Little Jelly Beans Childminders

Houses, cars, aeroplanes and birthday cakes…just some of the things that were made with the stickle brick today.

Ice creams! This week the children have played ice cream kiosk, scrunched tissue paper to make ice creams and enjoyed ice creams for pudding today. Definitely needed in this heat.

Our new resources! These are to support the children’s interests in playing ice cream vans in the garden. They took turns to be the shopkeeper and customer. We added an ice cream stall in the garden, which the children really enjoyed.

These clear wallets and dry wipe pens have been a great addition to our creative resources. Today the children explored their mark making, wrote their names, coloured in insects and made their own pictures.

The children have been making stained glass butterflies 🦋

Today the mini beast activity kept the children entertained, prompted questions, encouraged discussions and was a bit messy!

Bug rescue in the water with different tools to use. This helps support language development, promotes working alongside peers and building hand muscles ready for pencil control.

We also found this privet hawk moth caterpillar in the garden.

We are back and ready to go!

It’s Friday! We’ve had a chilled few days with lots of garden play, construction toys and tea set. We’re off for the next two weeks to recharge and have some family time. We’ll be back ready for the summer holidays with lots of activities planned. ☀️
